True Blood

Been watching True Blood since it first came out in the US over a year ago, have to say it's a good series to watch, a bit different from other stuff and not the usual thing I watch.

Just like some have said it is known to be vampire porn, but if you take it with a pinch of salt and stay with it, the story is real good and the sex does become less frequent in it. I love the humour in it also, and the references to American Psycho. The last episode of the first season was just epic and very well done. They could have made a movie from just that episode.

I've introduced my friends to True Blood and all of them love it too, if they don't like it they probably just haven't given it time.

Series two I felt was just as good until the last few episodes. The story of Godric was amazing, but after that I found there wasn't much excitement, I personally don't like the story with Maryann it's a bit boring.

It's meant to have been the most popular TV programme HBO in America have had since the sopranos. Can't wait till the new series
 
Season 2, whilst good, could have been better if the 2 storylines had been switched. Instead of the Maryann storyline being the main one, and the Godric one being the secondary, the other way round would have made it much much better.

Godric in the series was not a paedo like in the books. It's not even a subtext in the series. it just isn't so.

Yeah that would have been perfect if they swapped them around and had more on Godric, I think his story is what really made the season for me. Even though the books might have him as a paedo I prefer him in the light they showed on the show and I'm gonna pretend that stuff in the book isn't true :p His scene with Sookie really was so well done, some of the best TV I've seen.
 
Just got hold of the 1080p verison of this (looks sweet on the 50" plasma) and I have to say I am REALLY enjoying it. Not only is the main chick ubersweet, but the concept of it all just works so well form what i've seen so far. Good stuff. :)
 
I saw all the books in waterstones today while having a costa, but couldn't for the life of me figure out what order they go in, can someone help?

Also are any more currently being written?

I'm sorry but if you are honestly telling us you do not have the capacity to do a 10 second search on the internet to find the order the books go in? I found it in 5.

hmv have them in fairly cheap and they were smart enough to include a chart clearly showing the order the books should be in ;)
 
they were a fiver each when my missus bought them but prices may have changed since then because it was when hmv first started selling them , i think they were the first place in the uk to stock the books.

Thank you! I could have sworn I recognised him from Home&Away years ago, but wasn't sure. Has been driving me to distraction during his scenes.

I seen her in Party Down and thought she was hot. When I seen her in this, however, it took that to a whoooooooooole other level.
