Tablet has to be on mains power for hdmi to function.
 
I purchased mine today and seem to be having all sorts of problems already.

Tablet has been on charge via mains power for 3-4 hours and got to 69% so I decided to switch tablet off completely to charge fully. Given it an hour and turned it back on and now it's saying it only has 1% charge.

I've had 2 instances when I push screen-on where the screen flickers constantly.

edit: more issues:-

It does not set automatic brightness at all. I have Swiftkey but every time I go to an app to type it just reverts back to the standard keyboard.

Bluetooth says it's been in use for 4h 48m yet the switch is set to OFF and I've checked everything that is running.

Mines been really good so far, did a benchmark with it and it scored 11000 the nexus 10 scores 13000 only bad thing is camera but I didn't buy it for that :)
 
Ok so I now have mine at home and have discovered some backlight bleed. It's locked up another 2 times where the screen comes on but the touch does not respond.



and it's been on mains charge for over an hour while in airplane mode and it's still only at 46%

I think yours has a duff battery, to my knowledge auto brightness does not work on any of them, someone correct me if wrong.

Put it into standby mode, leave it on charge over night, then in morning if its at 100%, shut it down completely and re-power on. If battery seems fine and its not locking up see how it goes.

If the battery is still unstable or locking, your unit has a dodgy battery, at which point we can get it quickly replaced for you. :)

The new batch are far more reliable but as with all tablets, they do have a failure rate.
 
So this is a Samsung Galaxy S2 overclockers and with a big screen?

I also think 1Gb RAM is a bit on the low side for Android version 4.0+ but I can appreciate the price of the device.
 
I have made a thread in customer support. The backlight bleed is annoying and it's had a few more lockups since yesterday.

I've noticed there's a bend in the top frame of the tablet where it seems possible the way it's been packaged the ac adapter has pushed against the frame of the tablet and caused a bend.

Can anyone confirm how the cables are packaged underneath the tablet when in the box as no matter what I do the AC adaptor has a lip on the side of the plastic that sticks out above the level of where the tablet should sit.
