**TRULY AMAZING TABLET DEAL: OcUK 10.1" ULTIMA GAMING TABLET WITH FREE 16GB SD CARD!!**

First 24hrs have been fine, no crashes yet.
Managed to borrow a 64GB MicroSD card, I can confirm IT DOES NOT WORK.
So 32GB seems to be the max, not quite sure where the quote in the spec. comes from:
Storage: 8GB NAND Flash (Upgradable to 64GB /w SD Card)
If anyone knows how to achieve the quoted 64GB upgrade please let us know.

FAT32 has a 32GB filesystem limit. Anything above needs to be NTFS (if Windows based) which isn't natively usable by Android. There is an NTFS fix floating about somewhere but the device needs to be rooted for it to work.

e: This is using built in Windows based formating and partitioning. There are 3rd party tools to get around this limitiation

Android doesn't use FAT32 though, YAFFS?

You are right, on the internal flash memory no. It does use YAFFS or Ext4. But MicroSD cards are overwhelmingly FAT32 or NTFS. FAT32 will work in the device, NTFS won't without rooting and NTFS fix. You could try formatting a 64Gb MicroSD to Ext4 or YAFFS to see if it works, I don't have one to try though.

I was ready to pull the trigger on this until reading this thread. Has anyone successfully got one working without any issues?

Read the whole thread? :)

Had mine for 24 hrs now , have to report, it so far is doing exactly what it says on the tin , No dead pixels, as far as i can tell. and british 3 way plug. Has not switched itself of or anything that anyone else has so far reported.
The only thing im not overly impressed with is android , though that is not the fault of the tablet, Mayve a learning curve, being first tablet, but i suspect given the option, ubuntu would trump it , if it was available

Camera not supported by Skype. Not the tablets fault though. Works via Google talk. Pleased with mine so far! Still got the other one to check though lol.

Mine's been fine so far.

Definitely a little less responsive and not as good as good to type on as my Nook HD+, but it's a decent enough tablet and the extra bit of screen size makes up a little for the lower resolution and contrast/colour performance.

I'm happy enough with it :)

Hi there

Ok so far much better, still not perfect but we've sold 100+ since posting this thread and so far 4 returned, 3 faulty, one un wanted, a vast improvement over before and better stats then some branded models, early days yet but let's see how it goes. Also got a hardcore 7" too which is epic spec, similar to nexus 7 performance, but half the money, still testing though.

Alas i'm going to have to return mine due to dirt under the glass. Other than that it seems to be doing what it should. If they can sort the QC issues then you could be on to a winner!

Hmm I am very tempted by this, I really would love a 10" tablet, my laptop is dieing and I only need something for films and web browsing in bed :)

From my experience with it it would be perfect for your uses then. Brilliant screen for the price and very responsive. Especially in bed where you can keep it charged. My only gripe really, battery life, I knew it wasn't going to be brilliant but I barely get an hours browsing/light gaming out of it. Waiting to see what a few full charges does to it.

Barely 1 hour is really bad should be way longer then again people where having trouble with battery life on the V1.

From a full charge I streamed approx 3 hours of HD video from my LAN and there was still some charge left in it.

He might need to give it a full charge and drain and full charge again to make it last longer. Also depends what your doing with it just browsing will make it last longer and playing vids will make drain quicker.

Hmmm, tis ever so strange. It dies as if the battery is empty, although the battery would have, for example 70% charge left as displayed in the bottom right. It won't turn back on unless I plug it in, in which case I can turn it on straight away again and have it tell me there's still 70% left.

It's as if a battery cell gets depleted but it doesn't transition seamlessly to the next xell (not that I know how these batteries work lol).

Anyone have any ideas?
