Turbos

This thread got really good when the GT-R was mentioned. Then it tailed off a bit. But I waited then there was another mention of the conquering awesomeness. Then it went away again and I had to wait for it came back for somebody to lie about how it is not ultimate awesome.

Chap I had dinner with a few weeks back reckons he can get under the outright Bellof time of 6.11 in a road car and he was being serious and has history of times in the 6's...

Well obviously, but wid so likkle torque, i shouldn't be as fast as cars wid more torques?

So if a Turbo Deisel revved 2k more than standard, according to mike it would be rapid.

So BHP and power to weight have nothing to with it then? Okie doke great.

better tell Ariel, that there Atom is slow cus it doesn't have much torque, cus it uses a crappy Honda engine.:D

That reminds me. We might have to disband this little tag team arrangement we've got going on here if you're as much as a honda lover as you claim. On the way back from the meet I ran into an Accord Type R two up with a couple of Baz's. Let's just say my donkey can still move if I dangle a carrot on a stick in front of her ;).

Got to disagree there mark. 996s (particularly pre facelifts) do seem to look a little bit dated. No more/less than the NSX I'd say.

Not looking to turn this into a debate about my car, but I'll always say to the nay sayers that the MKIV Supra was regarded by the press at the time as been a fantastic handling car for it's size and market. The Soarer has a neigh-on identical chassis and suspension setup :).

They aren't exactly renown for being by the seat of your pants exciting or having good steering.

I've flushed fish down the toilet that where more alive than some of the steering I've found in Gerrman cars
