Turkey Grand Prix 2010, Istanbul Park - Race 7/19

^^ Hehehehe

Anyway, after reading the press thing Chandhock is now my favourite driver just for not giving in and shouting at Trulli (pretty sure everyone has done it by now

More importantly, go Lotus! Give them a bit of luck, a race of attrition and they'll get a point by the end of the season

Anyone else hoping this is one of the last times we come to Turkey (or China) to accommodate the US round? I like the track in the sense its fun to drive (on video games) but it doesnt produce the best GP's sometimes...

If raw pace was the thing, then Hamilton would have won three titles by now....

Yes luck plays a big part as well ;)

Anyone that suggests Massa Alonso is an equal battle because of the results being 3v3 clearly isn't looking at the bigger picture though. Yes I'm no fan of massa for good reason, his career speaks for itself. Yet to suggest at any point this season he has had the pace of Alonso is ludicrous. Most people here look at the race as more than a finishing position. Monaco apart Alonso has had some terrible luck and despite some poor luck or a broken car has always shown to have the beating of massa.

I guess people don't want to believe that because alonso is a thoroughly unlikeable bloke, where as Massa is a nice guy. Not only that Alonso has gone to someone elses team where Massa is loved, in a car that hasn't been built around Alonso.

It's very hard to like Alonso, but this year on the track he's won me over.

Very good on fuel and fast enough to kick the **** out of the Merc unit :D

Now how could that possibly happen in an engine freeze? ;)

yeah that was a nice spin.

But also shows you how stupid these tracks are now.

if you go off you should have at least a 70% chance of going out. One reason I still like monaco. You mess up you aren't going to survive.

Yup. Change all the tarmac runoffs to gravel again. Going off the track needs to be discouraged.

Although they do have the rule that they can apply whenever they want about cars leaving the track. Strangely the only time I've seen that come into effect is against Hamilton when you have had Raikkonen nailing the car up the hill last year and overtaking cars because of it, amongst other incidents.

Was Buttons fastest FP3 time set on the hard tyres?

I know he abandoned his first flying lap on the softs, but didn't see if he got another in.

If it was set on the hards, it may be worth starting on the hard tyres, as they're not that far off the softs and should last a good bit longer.

I have a feeling he may start on the hard tyre.
