Turkey Grand Prix 2010, Istanbul Park - Race 7/19

If it's this close in Turkey with quite short straights, Red Bull will have to run their F-Duct in Canada.

Clearly McLaren have an advantage on the straights but the car is VERY stiff which won't work while over the kerbs at Canada. Anyway lets worry about that in a couple of weeks.

We could be in for a really good race tomorrow. Overtaking is possible and many of the cars are well matched.

Turkish GP qualifying - Top three drivers
Red Bull's Mark Webber gives his reaction as he qualifies on pole ahead of McLaren's Lewis Hamilton and team-mate Sebastian Vettel.

Vettel's face was a picture - that guy does not like being beaten and doesn't hide his emotions - good on him. Mark I think could accept being beaten by Vettel better than Vettel can take seeing Mark doing so well.

Must be frustrating for him with all the problems he's had of course, but Mark has really found his top gear at the moment.

Wish we had some rain lined up for tomorrow. The most exsciting thing will be probably watching to see if their necks and cars can hold out in turn eight.

They are closer but lets not forget that Redbull have the f-duct to come which will bring them a big jump in performance once they iron out the kinks.

lol, not much with their crappy Renault engine. Can only imagine what a Mercedes engine would have been like in there!

I can see Webber and Hamilton making contact tomorrow - I can't see either backing off if they are side by side.

Too right. If I were running a team, I wouldn't want someone who takes getting beaten so easily. I would want a fighter.

Webber is in form. Plain and simple. The car is working well for him and he isn't making any excuses (unlike Vettel who alway seems to come up with an excuse for his lack of pace).

At Monaco, RedBull came up with an excuse that his chassis was damaged and that a new chassis will bring him back up to speed. Well, he has a new chassis and the result is still the same. Although RedBull are now blaming the problem on a brake problem.

Alonso also has problems (pre-race), but at least come race-day he shows his true pace and does well to either pull up right behind his team-mate or outpace him.

IMO Massa did a decent job today. He wasnt stellar, but at the same time he wasn't bad. He did the job of a solid No.2. Alonso was a huge let-down, as a NO.1 driver isnt expected to make such silly mistakes, especially 2 races in a row.

I thought it was brilliant at the press conference when they asked Webber about why he went out first and we caught of a glimpse of Vettel mouthing something, clearly unhappy.

Mclaren seem to have some better pace but I don't think Vettal would have struggled to take 2nd, it looked like Hamilton had to absolutely rag it.
