Turkey Grand Prix 2010, Istanbul Park - Race 7/19

Mclaren seem to have some better pace but I don't think Vettal would have struggled to take 2nd, it looked like Hamilton had to absolutely rag it.

Same could be said about Hamilton though. He was purple in the first sector, then lost a load of time in the middle of the lap.

red bulls superior downforce comes into effect, mclaren make it in the straights.

Red Bull is still the better all round package. The McLaren won't even get close enough to use the straights - the Red Bull will just pull away on the corners. Although saying that, the Red Bull looked rubbish at the end of the last sector.

It'll be interesting to see what happens if its holding stations into turn 1 or even if Hamilton or Button can nick a place. While the RB6 is like 4/10ths faster in sector 2, they wont be able to pass the MP4-25 there if its in front because of the dirty air, and it certainly wont be able to keep up going up hill to be close enough at the braking zone.

If the McLarens get in front then it'll be down to who can keep the tyres working the longer.

he must have made a mistake he was so slow in the middle sector, shame we didn't see the lap as it started of so well.

No he didnt, the red bulls have been .4 faster around sector 2 all weekend and friday testing while the mclaren get back a tenth on sectors 1+2.

Hamilton will loose out to Vettel at the first corner I think, as he is on dirty side the track.

Mclaren will have to try and tighten hamilton up then, if its allowed in the regs.

Haha forgot about that song! :D

Anyone else want to KILL LEGARD! He started talking about hammiltons girlfriend LIKE ID CARE!!! I keep finding my self scream SHUT UP and talk about the cars :(

I find myself distracted by the small battles of the commentators,
such as whether it was KOO-bick-er or Ku-BITZ-er.
JL finally fell into line with MB on that one in the last race, I recall.
Now that they agree on the middle syllable, how long will JL hold out for
KOO-bitz-er over Ku-BITZ-er.

It wasn't a tenth or 2 though. he went from -0.150ish in the first sector to +0.3ish in the second sector.

it wasn't even close to his personal best though. It just doesn't wash.

Yes teh redbulls are faster. Hamilton was on a hot lap and made a mistake and vettle was on a super hot lap and made a mistake.

It was only a rebut to people saying if only vettle didn't make a mistake, if your going to go down that line, it would have probably been vet, ham, web.
