Turkish Grand Prix 2011, Istanbul Park - Race 4/19

Yep.

Apparently the source of their problems is due to the batteries, which they designed themselves, as opposed to most teams who use a 3rd parties'. They also sit the batteries under/near the gearbox for a better COFG which is causing issues with cooling.

I've been on holiday for a bit and then it was the two bank-holiday weekends so the time has gone quite quickly but I thought this weekend would never come! \0/

Great post as always Acid, come on the McLaren boys.

New tyre markings to make it easier to see the type

Well that's a lot better than the whole coloured sidewall idea that was rumoured.

What was wrong with the white stripe on the soft compound like Bridgestone I have no idea.

They weren't that easy to see after a few laps. Or from certain camera angles. Can't they just add die to the actual rubber.

This would be an interesting idea. I don't think I've ever seen coloured tyres, but I think it would certainly be worth a try.

Perhaps adding a dye to the actual rubber would be too costly?
