Another month, another letter telling me i'm being 'investigated for not having a TV license'. They've only threatened to come round for the last year and a half, still not had anyone knocking on the door. :(

clearly you're very worried by the intimidation. ... joining this self help group.

liked the bbc r4 advert now running, informing the over 75's is it, about upcoming demand for money ... iron fist in a velvet glove (like Marvelous letter)
butter wouldn't melt voice delivers salient facts, trying not to create panic.

Anyone know anything about Plex TV, does that require a TV licence.
It reads now like a anytime service than a live TV service?
TV license covers TV programmes, which I take to mean UK DTT broadcast content. If it's not on a TV channel, I don't think it's TV content.

I don't believe Plex accesses any live TV services from UK broadcast, and if it does they won't be on by default.

That's it they look to basically be a live stream of their already free anytime content.
I'm confused so much a grey area

Do I need TV license to watch Sky News Live on YouTube
There is a bit of a gray area. Yes you do need a license when its live but the live channel also allows you to rewind and fast forward and if you start playing 1 hour behind live and due to that can fast forward and rewind then its not a live broadcast. The gray area is they never define at what point is live or not. A 5 second delay is common and still classed as live. Being an hour behind is clearly not live but at what point does live stop being live? I could never get an answer out of them.

What they did say to me was is I can have Sky News Live on a device and as long as I am not watching it live I don't need a license. So I can use the rest of the sky News App without a license.

Bin those letters, funny how if any other company that isn't part of the state ring of intimidation would do this the powers in charge would clamp down.

I hope more people stop paying for the brainwashing service and let's see if it disappears or the state would start funding it.

I have not watched aired TV for 10 years. no more brainwashing news or mind altering tech being imposed on me.

. . . sent out by Government appointed debt collectors.

UK Governments of all hues have always opposed the existence of an independent broadcaster.

You know it was designed to be a propaganda machine right from the start.

Fake news hasnt just appeared, fake news had always exist just not at the rate we currently have.

Coming from a dedicated Conspiracy Theorist like you, that is absolutely hilarious :D

However, if you question the BBC's impartiality I suggest that you look into Lord Reith - Winston Churchill - The 1926 General Strike, Blair & the Iraq War and Johnson / Cummings / Farage & Brexit.

ps - "had always exist" - WHAT?!

Fake news had always been around just not at the scale we currently have.

John Reith said it himself the BBC was set up to provide propaganda to the British public. Saw a documentary as to why the BBC developed main argument 1st, world war propaganda by the Germans seeing it as a successful tool to fight wars.

Based on the nonsense that you post, on which Conspiracy Theory channel did you see this "Documentary"?

I have a vague feeling that the BBC was set up to "Inform, Educate and Entertain" - you really do come out with some absolute rubbish

Haven't paid a TV licence since the early 2000s. As soon as I went to uni I realised that TV was a waste of time and I could live without it. I don't own a TV set, don't watch or record live TV on the internet, don't watch iPlayer.

Just got my latest no licence declaration through until Aug 2022.

This is becoming more the case of the younger generation who consume media in different ways. It's another reason why the BBC needs to move with the times instead of squeezing the over 75's for the shortfall in the revenue.
