No.
How are people still getting confused.
Is it available on TV (IE freeview, sky, virgin), are you watching It on a service(4od/iplayer etc) with a live feed (being broadcasted at the same time as the TV)
If yes to both you need a TV license.

I think £12 a month is fine, I see my view is completely opposite of what most people are saying on here. We have 6 tv's in the house though and they are all watched often. I myself don't watch tv because I am always at uni or on PC but £12 a month seems reasonable to me. Saying that though anyone that is getting letters, calls or vists often and that family watch no tv, this must be bloody annoying.
Quite similar I got a letter through the post today from the tax people saying I owed £690 tax from 3 years ago.... I called them and told them no I bloody didn't I have been out of work through injury for 4 years and they said oh yes it is our mistake, now that's annoying.

On the flip side, I watch almost zero TV, BBC or otherwise. My partner only watches Sherlock or TGBBO, for which £12 per month isn't worth it.

The problem with the tv licence is you have no way of showing that you do not watch any bbc channels so you have to pay for which sucks. next they will charge for the bbc website.

The licence doesn't cover your BBC usage.

The licence covers you receiving television radio signals in general.
