disney price hike and ads version

voyage of Odysseus.

If only the BBC got rid of this cheap reality tv - the discussion on strictly, love island etc but guess it pulls in the viewers
gave up watching GBBO years ago, BOTP recording that to avoid/jump adverts, but haven't watched the final episodes of last year yet.

Panel shows are also very cheap to make. The BBC loves those.

They used to be famous for comedy but BBC comedy died about 20 years ago

been in the property for almost 7 months and have had a few letters from tv goons. Had this posted today

What should I do? Bin it? Wait for more letters to come through and bin them. Or do nothing?
If you are not watching live TV in any way then bin/ignore it. We don't watch live or break the licensing act in any way but the letters and promises of visits keep coming but have not yet happened.

We had previously informed them and we would get a two year window where they left us alone then we had to inform them again. After a few cycles of this i gave up. Now we just let the letters come.

If you did the declaration online and that didn't stop the letters there is not much else to do.

Had the letter today saying Do you need a TV license!

I was shocked when it said you need one if you watch/stream live through "AMAZON/AMAZON PRIME"

Not that I have Amazon prime, but Amazon is mainly a US service so how do they get away with that sh???

Because you can stream all sorts live through Amazon.

If there are any live sports or other UK TV services available it 'needs' one.

Ah I don't watch Amazon, I thought it was just another streaming service like Netflix... TV shows n Movies.

So even if you have an Amazon Prime account and don't watch Live TV, just the shows/Movies parts you still need one?

I see a news report on the Express website, they have a poll to see if people think it should be scrapped, and 95% of people have voted yes

All that will happen is that it is added to general taxation most likely paid via a tax on wages. Given you still have to pay for a Licence even if you are unemployed, this would then put more tax on the working population whilst the "won't work" populace then gets a free TV licence.

Note - I am referring to the "wont work" rather than "cant work" in my derision.

A new one for me tody.

An IN01N.... I code has been issued against your address..blah blah blah..

Same overall content.. But not seen random code. I guess it makes it seem more "official"?
