The TV licence is archaic and illegal.

Why should I pay it when I pay for my TV through virgin and never watch BBC anyway??

It's just another tax forced on us!

Add to that they are biased politically and try to force their opinions onto the viewer!

Well the BBC is the UK government's main properganda tool. That's why the rest of the world get it for free.

Though it's not quite as comically blatent as RT is for the Russian government.

It's not illegal, but some of the tactics the licence goons use are. Not too long ago they got in trouble for excessively hounding old people and single women. They know who the vulnerable targets are just like the scammers out there, so mostly prey on them and trick them in to incriminating themselves. Very few young/middle aged men get caught because they aren't intimidated by them and just tell them to bugger off. It's an extortion racket really.

No one is force to watch TV and buy a license. You have three choices:

1. Watch and pay
2. Dont watch and dont pay

I'm not a licence payer as I don't watch TV however could it be argued that without the BBC we wouldn't have a lot of the infrastructure that allows all the other services/channels to be watched? Just playing Devils Advocate though.

You watch live TV, then you need a licence? Doesn't really matter where it goes or where it ends up - that's just the way it is. It's a service, a service the UK have deemed you should be paying for.

If you don't like it, don't pay and don't watch. Or pay and watch. Or, break the law, and don't pay and watch.

That's a very simplistic view. I suggest you actually look into what the BBC use the money for.

Like I said, look up what the BBC actually does, it's not just tv/radio/iPlayer.
