I have had the letters and only one visit
I'm not bothered by either.

Not only have I experience a lot of that I have also seen them sit in vans video recording though peoples windows. Wait till the adult leaves and then force there way into the home with only children in the house despite that being against the rules. Forcing there foot in the door so the single mum cannot shut it. Granted its rare but in the absolutely worse cases they have even broken in and raped people.

Do you have any sympathy for other people? Some of us went though hell and then we have people like you trying to make out its our fault and we should have just filled out a simple form. Its not like the problems are rare. There are entire websites dedicated to people with problems along with lots of videos uploaded to youtube plus a ton of threads like this one fall of people with bad experience.

Of course not they are known to target certain types of people and certain areas. Peoples experiences with them will change based on that persons profile. How you get targeted depends on the area you live in and how easy a target they see you.

It is rare but it has happened :( They do not seem to do real background checks on the inspectors and so a fair few of them have dodgy backgrounds. Which is more the reason not to let them in your home. I am not saying all of them are bad but there is for sure a high rate of bad apples among them.

Where are you getting your information on this, that during an inspection visit, an inspector broke in and raped the occupant.

I didn't say during a visit, I said the inspector went into a woman's home and did that. Which is the point you do not know the background of the inspectors. Given the amount of incidents over the years why let them in.

Oh right, so you flat out lied about one breaking in and raping someone then.

Ok, what bearing does his job have to his crime anyway? What about one of the most prolific serial killers in the UK being a GP? It has no bearing on anything. You're just being hyperbolic to the extreme.

No I didn't lie though I might have miss remembered the fine details as it was years ago. He ended up in jail as it did happen. EDIT: The point was they do not do background checks on the inspectors and you do not know what type of dodgy background they have. As far as I am aware its still like that. Also given my own experiences and the vast amount reported online I would never ever let an inspector in our home again. In fact they are no longer even allowed on our land.

I cannot believe your attitude. They are all documented cases and all separate events that happened and reported by lots of different people. I experienced a lot of it myself and had to protect my wife which is bad enough. Then I have to put up with people like you and worse MissChief who make it sound like its not real and all our fault. The inspectors have a long history of incidents.

That is just silly. There is a difference between between one off incidents and when the incidents are widespread like they are with the TV inspectors. Just look at how many court cases there have been due to harassment and how the BBC lost. I had to go down the legal route myself. Just look at the volume of people in this thread who did what you said with the form and reported it did not work.

While that has happened of course its not widespread, its extremely rare. I only put that as combined with all the other widespread problems it shows the lack of background checks on the inspectors and the amount of problems they cause. They do not have good hiring practices or checks on the people they hire and the rules are setup for the inspectors to be highly aggressive with bonus money for that aggression. If you bothered to look into it instead of blaming us, you would see the incidents with inspectors are common place. Like I said before not all inspectors are bad but there seems to be a high rate of bad apples.
 
It makes me wonder if they are resistant to going commercial because they probably wouldnt earn enough due to their inflated salaries.

The licence fee should be scrapped and they should move it to an online subscription service.
