Two Worlds 2!

Man I want to like this game, I really do, but I can't get into it. The combat is a bit sucky, I like being an archer and the AI is terrible and you just get butt ****ed by enemies, and everytime you get hit it cancels your bow drawback. I do switch to a melee weapon in these situations but, its not just very satisfying.

Graphics are nice though, and I get a real sense of "Wow this seems like a pretty huge explorable world"

What I have done is specialize in melee, topped up my ranged(in stead of the magic root) and put a fair few points in thievary.

I personally think focusing on the Ranger class is too tricky for a beginner. I would say that there are only really two viable primary classes, until you get uber at the game, them being mage or melee.

This is why there are three different armour set quick slots, the game is designed for you to be more then one single class.

I have gear for one-handed melee with shield, 2-handed and ranger gear.

This game really gets a lot better the more you play, in all departments, even the notoriously "bad" voice work, which personally I think already makes a mockery of Oblivions voice work.

I wouldn't be playing it, possibly, without a 360 pad though.

I put points into melee and magic, want to play spellsword, but the spell system is quite complex and I have no idea how to actually use it : ))

lol

Indeed it is.

That's why I'm going to specialize in magic predominantly in my second play through, when I know a bit more of what to expect!

Time for a thread resurrection!
Two Worlds II - Call of the Tenebrae allegedly released today. Loved this game 6 years ago, this DLC updates graphics and adds a new story.
Andi.

I never really got into Two Worlds...in hindsight, is it worth the investment to go back and play it?

Is there anything I should know in terms of how to play it as a newcomer, are the expansions standalone and split away from the main story?

Keys can be had that are only a couple of pounds for the whole 2W2 and original DLC, the update is 6.00 Euros. It is worth a go as it's so cheap and not a bad little game.

I wanted to buy this on steam but say's it not released yet. It said an hour to go a few hours ago...

Anyone know if it's co-op? There are two entries on steam. One shows as co-op and one doesn't.

Two Worlds 2 has Coop I think but the DLC doesn't by the looks of things. So if you buy the DLC as a stand alone game it won't, as an add on it will have the original features I suspect.

I already own the original and I think the DLC, it's cheap, just not sure if the time investment is worth it or not?
