TwsT's 1700 vs 1800x comparison (warning large screenshots)

OCUK is the only store who is binning and fully testing anything........... I am working at development level....... did anyone see prior to launch Scam had a 4.2. Ryzen bundle then on launch oh!!! we cant achieve the clocks best dial it back to oh STOCK!!......... there memory options on Ryzen STILL WAY off the mark.......... It was the same with BWE they had 4.6 bundle on launch.... Now its 4.2 OH DEAR ME!!!! 4.6 is like 3% or less of chips... I only found 3 chips to ever do this on ambient completely stable and one has several WR's.

If anything we improve with time and under promise. Then with further testing improve our knowledge and add it to our products eg 8Pack 5.1 7700K bundle every one went out at 5.2ghz.

BAN! No competition talk :D

@8 Pack you are going to Bin the cpus in bundles? :) hmm you sir have my interest! Will you be doing binned CPU and Motherboard only bundles as well as Binned CPU, Mobo, Ram bundles? I have a cooler i want to use already and have some DDR4 Ram which hopefully once the BiOS's mature should be usuable, so i will be in the market for a 1700 + Mobo bundle, i want something i can run at a constant 4ghz with around 1.35v tops! anything above that and not much more voltage would be even better.

hmmm not binning Ryzen no because currently OC is so close for all samples with Intel its like 4.7 or so to 5.3 with under 1.4V.Ryzen variance is like 200mhz tops.

Man why do you care about the volts so long as its stable and running decent enough temps........No need to even care one little bit about volts we will only advertise what is safe... let us worry about that. No Ryzen I tried is running 4ghz on all cores with decent memory at very low volts.

So are we saying the 1700 and 1800x are identical chips and the price difference depends on whether you want to overclock it yourself (1700) or whether you pre pay AMD to do this for you (1800x)

Just worried about life expectency on the chip if its running high voltage for its lifetime :) I have a 4770k thats not been delidded, and i lost the silicon lottery with it, anything over 4.3 and it starts getting hot, i like to keep around 60-70c tops when gaming, so anything that sits in that area is fine with me.

No just I only really try Rog, Strix offerings from Asus and other flagship boards. The 8Pack brand and name is not about products aimed at the mainstream.

I simply don't have time to try all.

Ok mate cheers...

I'm interested in getting the most performance per £ with Ryzen

What AMD has been about for me for years :)
