Type R and VTEC owners

Yeah that is also a factor with the rims. It probably doesn't rev as nicely but then I refused to spend more than what the car was worth turbo charging my FN when I had it. That and there were then the added expense of new cluch etc etc.

Yeah valid point, if I was going FI then I would always choose a car that's designed for it from the factory.

The SC6 is a high wearing tyre.

My DC5 keeps up with my mates Evo X, which was only marginally slower than my old Evo IX which trounced FK2's so I'd love to have a play with one. There was one on track at Donington but I think the driver must have been a novice because I could have driven around the track faster in my Focus diesel.

I need to clean mine and work out why the left speaker isn't working. I've already checked the loom and swapped the speakers but the still persists. I have a new head unit that I was going to fit anyway so I'll see if the crappy single DIN that's in there is at fault.

I'd be wanting bigger discs and calipers myself, only speaking from experience where I cracked an OEM like disc on mine through hard driving.

Same as an EP3, although insurance is more.

25-35 mpg, peanuts to service and run and they hardly ever go wrong. When they do it's usually a cheap fix.

I'd get a DC5 quote, you may be shocked. They are ridiculously expensive to insure. Make sure it's the DC5 you see results for and not the DC2, it doesn't show on comparison sites so you tend to have to go direct to the brokers.

No they don't but they are generally undersealed by whichever company imports them. As said though, some have been in the country a long time (10 years for mine) so it's definitely worth getting it checked. As with most Honda's, the rear arches are prone to rust as well.

Well, certainly surprised.

I've done silly quotes for myself as a laugh, Aston martins, Ferrari's, WRX STI's all in the region of 500-600.

For a Coupe with less power than my Z4....£1040 for the year :o wow.....Still want one though :/

If you haven't then try the following companies:
Pace Ward
Keith Michaels
Greenlight
Adrian Flux
Sky Insurance
Brenacre
Sainsbury's (ensure you ring them as the DC5 doesn't show up on their site)

You may get better quotes.

I'd love an FD2 but for me they are not as good for track days due to weight, plus the extra amount they cost, no thanks. Once I get my job close to home I will keep the DC5 and get a GTI or R to potter around in.
