Type R and VTEC owners

I can't see how EP3s are so bad? I drive mine pretty hard on my daily commute and average 25-28MPG. Heavier car and no iVTEC

S2000 went today, sad to see it go but will have another ;)

Sold it to a local garage a chap I know runs (Torque GT), he said I won't see it again as it's off to Sweden :p He has a guy from over there who comes and buys all his S2000s, apparently hard to get over there as didn't make many lhd ones so he buys up rhd ones to sell over there.

my last fills:
24.7mpg 179miles
19.85mpg 180miles
24.3mpg 206miles
26.16mpg 209miles
20.86mpg 162miles

car has catback and induction - 222bhp.

normally get 200ish to the tank but much more on motorway jaunts (230-260 miles to the tank). i only do town driving normally.
Nice so mine is about right, I wasn't expecting the world and it's my first fast car, vtec is getting used at every opportunity. :p

Do you use normal unleaded or premium stuff like V-power etc?

premium for me. ran cheap stuff once and it was noticeable.

the only thing i will say, for the couple of quid it costs per tank to put higher ron in, its just worth it knowing youre giving your car the best. its a highly strung motor so best to make sure it gets what it needs.

surely you would go to TDI?

Jesus, I always assumed they were nearer 30mpg average..

You can't make it go 'BWAAAAAAHHH' in traffic. :(

It's likely that the exhaust system has been tuned for 'quietness'. The final production model will probably be a-lot louder :p

It may also be because the camera is zoomed in on the track so the car is a-lot further away than it looks.
