Continental keep tyres for sale until they hit 6 yrs old then they get binned. Doesn't mean they aren't any good at six but that's worked out against the time an average tyre may be on the car as well so the tyres working life is still ok.

Engage 1st gear
Cover brake pedal with heel and apply moderate pressure.
Floor accelerator and dump the clutch

Every time I try that it smells of clutch, I dont want to blow up my diff just pull into the tyre depot with the tyres smoking

or if you want to save your diff and clutch, just floor it in 2nd while on full lock in an empty carpark

Reverse at a reasonable pace, while the car is still going backwards pop it out of reverse and straight into first, 5-6k rpm and dump the clutch. You will stand on the spot making smoke and pretty patterns which is always fun.

All good ideas but going to do as much damage to the clutch as the tyres.

If the earlier antics result in your clutch smelling, then probably, that'll kill it off completely!

Is it on its factory clutch? it sounds like it wants a new one to me.

Anyway, being kinder to the clutch, find a wide open space give the car plenty of lock & floor it in 1'st or 2'nd, you'll soon have them (the tires) smoking.

No I had a new clutch put in ages ago. It wasn't worn but they changed the box so it sounded like a good idea.

Engage clutch fully
Apply acceleration
Then release clutch
