Uber eats hacked

i was curious if it was ordered to a block of flats or somewhere were it could be easily intercepted
Yes, first one was a block of flats in a small cul-de-sac. Easily intercepted, and the second one was delivered to Kingsland shopping centre in Dalston.

well it's no good ordering it to a random address 2 streets over- you won't get your food.....

You order it to the address your occupying for 1-3 days.

Same as when you steal a car to commit a crime. You use the car for the crime then ditch it. You don't just keep driving the stolen car around like a moron.

It's not rocket science.

They will be ordering a shedload of stuff online next day delivery. They get all their takeaway and parcels then leave that premises forever. They don't stay there for weeks waiting for the police to turn up.

Probably using an Airbnb with stolen cards.

If only there was something between my house and a random address 2 streets over...

Ironically people call these thieves thick but they've clearly sussed it more than some of the posters in this thread :D

Where do you get random addresses you can occupy for 1-3 days? Any hotels or similar will have Id requirements. Hostels will have CCTV

Read Robs post. It was delivered to a block of flats and a shopping centre. Psycho is just stretching what would be conceivable for such a petty/time sensitive thing.

so you steal some cards, rent an airbnb, hack into a presumably at least partially secured system and place a phoney order, all for a burger king?

i mean i like a questionably constructed burger as much as the next man but that's a lot of effort to go to.....

They should toughen their rules. No interceptions. Food must be delivered to someone inside the address.
Wouldn't that mean the food just gets wasted?

Presumably you are against the convenience of contactless card payments too.

Have you sorted your password issue out yet?

Why would it mean food being wasted?

I've changed all passwords on websites holding any financial info.

Well in this case the thief couldn't prove they lived there could they, because it was a shopping cente and a block of flats they likely didn't live at. Food would have been wasted, no?

Well my dad had 2 iPhones ordered on his account. The burger king is just a test purchase or the icing.

When I had my card cloned. They bought dominoes 2 times then went on a spending spree at House of Fraser.

Air BnB

Air BnB or identity theft.

Then you order 20 mobile phones which you can ship back home to Romania, etc.

had over 1k taken from my credit card once for an AirBnB that was nothing to do with me....thought it was a bit of a strange choice as they'd obv have to use the AirBnB in some way and risk getting caught....never considered it was actually to get a Big Mac :p

seriously tho...never thought about them getting other more expensive things delivered to the AirBnB
