UEFA Champions & Europa League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [12th - 14th December 2023]

Dont worry Newcastle, its virtually inevitable in Europe that Liverpool and AC Milan get drawn against each other, so we will take revenge on them for you.

Thought Newcastle would be able to offer more of an attacking threat in the second half there, didn't deserve to go through.

Well, it's disappointing, but we went down swinging and can be proud of the performance. We haven't embarrassed ourselves in this campaign — we Held AC Milan away and smashed PSG at home (and should have beaten them away).

Hopefully now the lack of midweek matches will help with the injury crisis, and we'll do enough to be back in Europe next season. HWTL!

Im surprised the newcastle fans rather be out of europe than europa, way prem is i can see newcastle not getting into europe again this season

Why on earth would they want to play Thursday-Sunday when their squad is basically shot? Much better to be out of it and recover, get back on track and make a go of the EL (or CL if they manage it next year) with more preparation on strength in depth.

They qualified when they weren’t ready for it at all, they’re about 2 or 3 seasons ahead of schedule and it’s come back to bite them this year.
