Arsenal haven't been in a title race for years, we didn't win it last year but id rather we were fighting for it every year than not.....

It's genuinely bonkers. They'd have probably been 2nd favourites for it and it wouldn't just represent a chance to win a trophy, something they've not done in generations but it was another route back into the CL. It was potentially 2 routes back into the CL in fact as both Man Utd and Newcastle being knocked out of Europe altogether massively hits the PL's chances of getting an extra CL spot next season.
Yes but you already have the squad depth for that battle.
We don’t and run a larger risk of no qualification this season for anything.
We can now focus on the PL.

Liverpool or villa will win Europa
We have a better chance of silverware this year in the League Cup, and a better chance of getting back into Europe next season by qualifying through the Premier League. The team is on its knees, we need more depth in the squad. Finishing 4th last season we were well ahead of schedule.
It's moot now anyway, we don't have a choice even if we had wanted Europa.
It's chicken and egg though Monty. Without Europe you don't have the revenue to have the squad capable. It's never better to be out of Europe. It's hard in the early years but unless you're in it regularly, it'll always be hard.

where you could have been in europa enjoy some more euro nights football at st james and had double the chances of european football next season

Nothing. It's only if Liverpool (West Ham or Brighton) win it and don't finish in the top 4 (or maybe 5) that they get a CL spot.
So where does the extra spot go to?
you didnt just come up short though
you won one out of 6, you cant expect to go through skin of your teeth when you dont win your games and trying to rely on others
