That was a lot more relevant years ago when there wasn’t so much money in the game. Now, players just chase the money and the trophies.
He seems like a level-headed kid, saw some Bundesliga interview he did recently where he was talking about how money isn't the driving factor for him, challenging for trophies and crowd adulation were far more important - guess we'll know soon enough tho.

Glad you said challenging because you'd be stupid to ever expect to win anything in Germany unless you're playing for BM.
 
Its a good job I checked the fixtures for tonight, I was all prepared to get the kids all in bed by 7 and settled down, get my tea on and crack open a bottle of Lidl plonk in readiness for 7:45 kick off. I would have been non the wiser and manage to get the last 15 minutes of the Utd game. What a disaster that would have been.
 
It definitely doesn't. If you're one of Southgate's favourites you're in regardless.

I do like ETH selections so far. Play well, keep your spot. Not difficult but not what we've done for years.
