Just seen that first Sevilla goal. I'm a neutral and couldn't care less about either team.
Maguire is in space when the ball is played and rightly calls for it. The pass to him is fine, but Maguire completely messes up his pass. The Sevilla quick press is excellent and Maguire panics. To be fair, there's not a pass on for him, but a more cultured centre back deals with it.
De Gea should be playing it out wide though and should know that Maguire is a donkey under pressure.
Equally to blame, but more so Maguire in my opinion.
That third goal is dogpoo from De Gea.

Didn't see the game but watched the highlights earlier. Both to blame for the first goal, lazy from Maguire but De Gea should have use some better judgement and played it out wide, considering Maguire moves like he is in a bowl of porridge. God knows what De Gea is trying to achieve with that 3rd though, nightmare.

yup. folk canargue all they want as to who was at fault for the first goal, but ultimately the team were utterly gash. had that sevilla team been anything other than garbage themselves that could easily have been another rout like the liverpool game.
About as stupid as you saying arsenal had bottled the league
