UEFA Champions & Europa League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [18th - 20th April 2023]

I'd say its 80:20, Maguire : DDG.

Maguire called for the pass and realistically had time to deal with it, De Gea should have known better.
De Gea's more responsible than that. Whether Maguire calls for it or not, De Gea should see that the pass wasn't on.

Ridiculous to be calling ETH a fraud already. He has a style of play, and it's blatantly obvious some of them players are not capable of it. Have to wait till the full squad is one he's built.

Tbf, he should be playing to his players strengths, not how he’d like it to be.

Can still have an idea of what the end product will be, but it’s bizarre to do it when the fit players aren’t capable.

I get what you're saying, but what can he do when the captain doesn't inspire confidence, or defend, the keeper doesn't keep, and their actual captain and one of their best players isn't there?
Particularly when this team are fragile, and prone to nights and performances such as these, and then the game load they've been under for a team such as that.

I can't wait to see how we do with a new owner (please!), getting rid of the remaining rot and going on from there with players who want to play for the club and all it stands for.

Right, that's enough optimism from me for the night :)

Except he’s not bottling it, he’s being chased down by a rampant City with an absolute freak of a striker. Has happened to more teams than just us.

It depends really on what happens. Arsenal still have a lead over City and play them next week.

If they fall to bits and struggle in most games it'll have to be called a bottle. If they lose out by a point or two then it's not so bad.

They should be 7 points clear tomorrow night.

We’re always going to struggle with Holding, he’s worse than Maguire :(

I'm very confused by that picture. We have a point more than last season with 8 games left. The losses listed there are weird. We have had more than 4 awful results this season. We have also won a trophy. Every team that didn't win it went out to someone. You beat whos in front of you. Domestic cups rarely see you playing 2-3 PL teams...

ETH win percentage is 70% in all comps in his first season. Arteta is barely out of mid 50's and bottling the league after having 4 seasons.
Ten hang has much more experience then arteta yet seems to not show it.

Your manager is the bottler here.

You wish you was in the same sentence as your neighbour rivals during the run in for a title.

Manchester is blue and has always been for the last 10 years.

No idea why you attacking arsenal for united being beaten..

You ain’t getting a new owner, the glazers have done a mike Ashley on you

Maguire should open his body and pass it forward.
Instead he's stopped the ball in facing his own goal when he knows he's surrounded

This is professional level football

He not only does that but he then literally kicks it through a player that is right in front of where he tries to pass. It wasn’t even a good interception, Maguire just makes a colossal **** up.

Not only that but they send Eriksen out for the post match. Where is our captain again? Hiding in the corner yet again.

We totally dominated the home game and lost it due to stupid mistakes. The tie should have been put to bed. Last night was the worst performance of the season for me. Yes we got beat 7-0 by Liverpool and 6-3 by City but they are both top tier teams. Sevilla are poor. They were battling relegation.

We beat 3 better Spanish teams (including the runaway champions). There is nothing wrong with the way we play but the attitude of the players. ETH is basically going to have to ditch the vast majority of the Legacy stuff because they have just had years and years of downing tools when it gets tough.
