UEFA Champions & Europa League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2nd - 4th November 2021]

Oles at the wheel yo, City will probably lose as the system they play is one of the few that suits our counter attacking style, depressingly this will keep him in the job until summer at the very least.

We're utter junk in the counter attack at the moment though as well. Its genuinely a flip of a coin vs City. Either they will absolutely smash us or we will sneak a win.

I’m fine with that not being given as handball, it would be hard to avoid contact with the arm in that situation. Looking at a 2 second clip it still doesn’t seem that bad.

Utd are bloody awful again. Maguire is useless. Can’t believe they paid £80m for him.

Ole will see the season out for me. They’ve just missed out on Conte. Poch maybe gets sacked quicker?

He clearly moves his hand towards the ball, probably instinct but regardless. You cant not give handball there.

Come on now. His hand movement changes the direction of the ball and means he can pass the ball to Ronaldo. He moves his hand towards the ball, instinct more then likely but still, he does it.

It didn’t just bounce up, Greenwood actually moves him arm towards the ball.

If you think that Greenwood somehow anticipates where the ball is going and how his arm should move to control it in about 1/10th of a second I think you might be on the sauce.

Hes not a goalkeeper :p

Pretty sure a footballers instinct is to kick the ball not handle it.

That’s such an outrageously good goal from Ronaldo. Hope he doesn’t keep this up in knockouts

No need for the copium Shami, it’s fine to be a bit lucky :D

Watch the actual video, not a 1 second clip. if you seriously think he can anticipate and control that ball with his hand then we should put him in goal.

Also I was right that was what they changed “Accidental handball that leads to a team-mate scoring a goal or having a goal-scoring opportunity will no longer be considered an offence,” football lawmakers Ifab announced after an AGM."

He definitely moved his hand towards it, but at the same time I feel it wasn’t actually a deliberate movement.

He probably would have saved the first.
