There's nothing wrong with a 5-3-2, if you have poor to average defenders and they are badly coached you just need to stick as many of them on the pitch and hope for the best. Trust the manager and the players.
 
Nothings changed, got a victory at the weekend Vs one of the worst premier league performances of ve ever seen.

They are gonna need some.of that individual skill to pull through again tonight.

Southgate played with a back 5 and 2 DMs and told the rest of the attackers to track back so it wouldn't surprise me.

We will probably still win this game to be honest but same old same old.

No matter the formation, you still have to coach a team how to use it. If you play 5 at the back you sacrifice attacking for defensive strength and you need your 2 wing backs to do a lot of work. You need the other players to compensate for the missing midfielder/attacker and the shape of the team is different.

Different formations are easier or harder to play but even the easier ones require some level of coaching to be effective.

Basically yeah, and I think that's what you can expect from now on, defend and hope individual skill will win the game for you.

We have had far better chances though. It went through the legs of Shaw and De Gea saw it late. I can still see us coming back. Ole will just end up going 424 again in the second half. Lol
 
Why he decides to go with Rashford up front with Ronaldo when we have Greenwood and Cavani on the bench is baffling, both are much better finishers.

When the chips are down Ole is a coward and hopes his players will bail him out. Its what he does when the pressure is on. Its what he did in the EL final and we had to watch it slowly slip away for 120 minutes while Ole did FA because he was scared of changing something and losing.
