I mean there is countless situations where a player looks like a world beater in a one off game. It just so happens for him it was in the biggest game of the year. Which is brilliant, all credit too him. He can dine out on that and it’s kind of being used as a reassurance now. Did you not see him in that game against City? You don’t suddenly become crap over night.

Re:mount the player still has to be good enough to be part of the whole. Some players are system players, can follow instructions to a tee like him. Still doesn’t mean he’s any good.

:cry: hangfire... ignoring the other perspective despite you holding up DDG first and me evidencing how he fell foul of this utd defence on many occasions... Are you forgetting that lovely night in Seville where he made 3 mistakes alone, one for the first goal and then the absolute gaff for the 3rd?

At the very least we can agree you're funny ;)

not forgetting the pen he missed in the final the previous year!! I bet Onana scores that! :)

Haha, a bit harsh the backlash he got for that... was an awful situation for any player nevermind a GK. Like Saka in the euros final who we know every day of the week can put them away. However I like to think DDG did us all a favour as it was the beginning of the end of Ole ball :D

Not sure what game to pick.

Celtic v Lazio or Newcastle v PSG

Feel the latter has the potential for some hilarity if PSG get beat or Newcastle get thumped. I’m not sure.
