UEFA Champions & Europa League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [6th - 8th April 2021]

We've had no real game plan from what I can see. Hard to look past him especially as he still hasn't made a change and Martinelli is on the bench yet again.
 
And ref gets another player suspended, he clearly had a list of our players that were a yellow away because he gave Shaw and Maguire cards for their first challenge (both of which were dives)

You can't argue too much with any of the yellows, a couple have been a bit soft but they have let Granada get away with murder in this game. If hes booking everyone for the same challenges fine, but hes not.

Oh yea they absolutely have but thats a yellow for Maguire. He's pulled him back...the issue there should be Maguire being a brain dead idiot.

The ref is allowing them to get away with it though but if you tug someone back...expect a yellow. He should know better.

I agree up to a point but a referee sets the tone and level of a game. When the opposition are doing something and getting away with it, the assumption is that the ref is letting it slide. When he turns around and books you for something he lets the opposition do a number of times its not right.

Playing dirty and getting away with it is a massive advantage.

Always been the case though. Whenever a ref sees a pull of a shirt its an instant yellow nowadays. The refs have seemed to be anti English sides this week though which is odd. I noticed it in our game vs Madrid and have tonight.
