He's been very poor tonight, that "pass" just then where he passed across the pitch to nobody just summed up his night. When he plays like this its not hard to see why a contract agreement hasnt been forthcoming yet.

Played rubbish, defended even worse. Unfortunately I can't say I'm surprised though. You cannot keep playing with CBs that wouldn't get into a Championship side and perform consistently. We'll have good performances here and there but in the end they'll cost you.

Phillips is very out of his depth. I think there's a player in Kabak but Phillips is going to end up a mid table PL player at best

I think Kabak will be lucky to end up at a mid table PL side, Phillips will be lucky to find a League 1 side.

Two slow defenders given zero protection from the midfield in front of them and asked to play a highline which neither are suited to? Neither had great games, both were set up to fail as soon as it was obvious Real were going to look for single balls over the top.

It's not a case of being slow. Slow defenders can still read the flight of the ball and know when to drop and when to try to attack the ball - Phillips and Kabak have no ****ing idea what to do when a long ball comes their way.

Now we could set up with 2 banks of 4, get men behind the ball and lump it forward to Salah, just to protect them but I'm not sure the end result would have been any different.

I'm not either but we've seen this type of performance way too often this season and not just with Phillips and Kabak playing and we've had the same discussion just as often

I want Klopp to try something different, I know he won't and he'd rather lose his way than win playing another but it still does my head in.
