Pretty bad first half but controlled the 2nd half.

Onto the group stages.


Really need another striker, winger and cb.
 
Pretty good performance by Everton mostly. Passing was v good. Tho their defence looks fragile. Need a Cb Imo.
Thought Jp was slightly at fault for first goal but he made up for it with the saved pen.
Excellent goal out of nothing by Golf :D
 
You can't really ask for much more. Everton's fixture list is ridiculous.

Surely the City game should have been a Sunday night and Chelsea away on Monday night.

They got through that game without really coming out of second gear.

Defense is actually quite strong. Williams had a stinker tonight though. I'm confident that Everton will finish the season with one of the meanest defenses in the league
 
Everton have played 6 competitive games this season and conceded 2 goals so far. They have ridden their luck at times but with Pickford on goal they have one of the best keepers in the country to fall back on.

I'm still not keen on Williams, he has put on too much weight over summer and doesn't seem to play the ball as well as Jagielka does. He will find himself 3rd choice behind Jags and Keane as the centre back pairing.

Silver is right in that Everton need another defender and Koeman is looking for a left sided defender who can play as left back or centre back, with Ben Gibson of Boro being targeted.

As much as I like Calvert Lewin and believe he has the potential to really be a good player we need someone for the here and now. Rooney, at 31, cannot be expected to play 40-50 games a season. I liked Arkadius Milik of Napoli but I don't see anything like that coming off.
