In both legs Muller, while tired, had almost every attack involving him, Bastian as well to a lesser degree. Took both off, did absolutely nothing after they went off.
Alonso continued to get caught on the ball, mess up clearing long balls, did several body checks and again was lucky to not get a second yellow. The one he got was blatant but he could have had one for taking Messi down in the first half, another body check in the first half. Defensively a liability, offensively, did basically nothing.
How on earth do you take off the two most effective players on the pitch and leave on the worst by a mile who was also a risk for being sent off and who was such a liability. Oh well, they wouldn't have won anyway but.
It was like watching an Arsenal game all in one leg, better team winning the first half, that team feeling so comfortable and giving up in the second half that the opposition managed to win the second half... but it still wasn't enough
Very attacking team from Real but good to see the Ramos experiment is over. Don't really care who wins tonight as long as Suarez lifts the trophy at the end of it.
