UEFA Champions League/Europa League 18/19/20 April 2017 *** Spoilers ***

Marcelo is a fantastic player. Always bombing forward and seems to contribute so often when RM need something in the latter stages of a game.

He was always pretty damn good going fowards, Marcelo that is, but his defensive side was awful until a few years ago. These days he's brilliant defensively and much more consistent offensively. Turned into an absolutely unreal player, I think under Mourinho he wasn't great overall, inconsistent, poor defensively. Ancelloti really improved him as a player and he's continued improving every since. Mourinho instead spent £30mil on that guy whose name I've forgotten because I've not seen him in so long, awful defensively, awful offensively and Mourinho was starting him ahead of Marcelo.

Bayern fallen to pieces, Ronaldo 5 goals in a quarter final.. unreal, Asensio is a ridiculously special player, couple years from now he'll be getting offers of 70-80mil, though I doubt will leave. He'll probably be Ronaldo's long term replacement.

Bayern didnt get "rekt" at all...some of the worst officiating ive ever seen has seen them go out. Two clear offside goals and a poor red card for Vidal have absolutely killed this.

Marcelo is better than most left wingers and he can actually defend. Best LB in the world by a country mile. Filipe Luis is pretty good, but still not on Marcelos level.

People can complain about the ref, but to me the penalty was never a penalty in a million years, so they've got what's coming to them.

Pity the scoreline will probably take away from the fact the game was entirely decided by the referee rather than footballing ability.

I think UEFA may breathe a sigh of relief as if it finished 2-2 then the decisions show up more, now people won't question them so much.

Looking forward to seeing how the ref can overturn Barcas first leg deficit in the Juve game
