UEFA Champions League/Europa League 19/20/21 February *** Spoilers ***

Well that wasnt as bad as i expected, expected us to get hammered 5-0 or something but 3-1 is still pretty much game over for us. Cannot see us going to Bayern and scoring 4-5 goals and not conceding to Bayern, not in a million yrs.

And Wenger once again showing his stupid utter insane subs...taking off Pod, who scored our only goal and was by far the best player on the pitch next to Wilshere and replacing him with Giroud :/. FFS Wenger take off Walnut and keep Pod on the field...feel sorry for Pod, after an immense work rate, scores our only goal...only to be taken off...takes the mick that does.

Anyhow rant aside, i thought we did pretty well...especially after going 2 goals down...jsut a shame our pathetically inept defence couldnt stop a third going in. But otherwise it wasnt too bad a performance considering Bayern were meant to hammer us into oblivion from what the stupid press have been barking about.

Anyhow gave it a good shot but thats another trophyless season done and dusted.

I will add that the ref was terrible, never seen so many yellow cards being handed out in the first 20mins:p. Also for the first time the Emirates was rocking:p....those German fans really know how to liven up a place:p.

Overall, pathetic, we gave it a go at 2-0, but that was mostly because Bayern stopped trying to attack hard and started playing lame "pass it to the defence" football after 2-0. Wilshire as always managed to find a way to time and time again power past their midfield, but nothing upfront.

Walcott was as usual one dimensional and truly awful as a striker tonight.

How many times did say Wilshire or Santi drive the ball towards the goal and Walcott stayed in the middle of the box, running at the goal, no angle, no runs, nothing, just tame.

You need a striker to make diagonal runs, drag a CB across the box, create gaps, Walcott didn't do that once the whole game, utterly utterly pathetic from Walcott, and Wenger because Walcott did that in every game he played as a lone striker, zero link up play with the midfield, he is completely and utterly awful, even worse as a lone striker than as a winger. Giroud in there drops deep, makes the run beyond the defence, runs across the box, loses his defender, finds gaps, makes space for others and actually knows how to pass. Walcott did just nothing, at all, and we basically begged him to stay and gave him 100k a week, when he's just terrible.

The goal we got was hilarious as, it was never a corner and few teams will ever defend a corner as badly as they did.

Also thought we tried to fight(cheat) our way into the game a bit, 2-0 down we started putting in a few nasty tackles, Arteta's in particular was a bit of a two footed stamp style challenge. Also the ref was so ridiculously biased in our favour, the clear as day corner, a stupid number of tackles given as fouls our way which never were, a couple of their yellows were rubbish. It helped us get back in the game a bit, but not enough.

Ultimately for all the good work Wilshire and a couple of others did, with an utterly dead weight upfront, there was nothing they could do at the end. 100k a week, highest paid member of the squad, biggest game of the season, didn't do anything at all... well, his falling on his ass at the start of the second half did entertain me, aside from that, useless.

Muller, goal and assist, 20 mins, game over...... he really is stupidly good.

Pity Arsenal only really lasted 20 minutes or so at home, but Bayern are a side full of "proper" internationals , and they looked like it.

(Im not knocking Arsenal, because I have a horrible feeling BM would take Man Utd apart just as easily)

2nd goal was conceeded pretty cheaply, and Arsenal never really got back into it (yes they got a goal back, but it also felt like BM were playing with them and could have scored a hatful)

I fully expect BM to demolish them at home in 3 weeks time

Their manager wanted to stay another year at Bayern before retiring, I hope to **** that Gazidis is in a room somewhere with a barrel of cash asking him to be the manager at Arsenal for a year or two.

Fix the defence, nick a few german youngsters, stab Walcott.
