I don't remember rangers hoofing it clear once.Hoofing he ball clear is not an attempt to attack the opposition. Rangers spent 96 minutes trying to keep the ball as far away from their goal as possible. Even when they went into United's half it was all about possession over creating any kind of chance.
Pretty sure they tried to pass it forwards. I mean there were points were they were actually comfortably in possession for a bit. Admittedly they weren't much cop at passing it forwards, but there was little "lumping" it.
