UEFA Champions League/Europa League 2010/11 Matchday 3 *** Spoilers ***

Roy is wheeling out some of his post-match excuses early this time:

"They are good," he said. "I spoke to Claudio Ranieri at an elite trainer conference in Nyon not so long back and asked him about the Italian league and where the major threat to so called big clubs come from. He cited Napoli. Apparently they have a new owner, the son of the famous film producer, De Laurentiis.

"A lot of money has been put into the club, they've invested in some big name South American players.

"They are taking it very seriously. They are fourth in the league. Whatever team we play will have a tough game. We've got great respect for them. We've scouted them, we've been to see them play twice and done our video analysis.

Every game is a tough game under you, Roy.

Even Northampton Town are a 'major threat', let alone Napoli.

Hold the bloody phone. De Laurentiis took over Napoli in 2004 and he's a film producer himself as well as being the nephew of one.

Please tell me the quote from Roy isn't recent.

Good going forward they may be (Cavani, Lavezzi, Hamsik) but Napoli are shifty at the back. As poor as Liverpool have been, this could well be a draw.

My guess at Spurs 11, though not long till we find out.

Macheda on his own? Seriously? Could we be playing a more negative lineup at home?

At least Fergie has realised you need wingers on the bench. Bebe/Obertan should have started over Park.
