UEFA Champions League/Europa League 2010/11 Matchday 3 *** Spoilers ***

Jamie Redknapp just stated that Scholes is a good tackler. If anyone gave him credit before as a pundit, and if they still do, they are a ******** idiot.

Chamakh has started seriously well, he's banging them in now too. Can't get over how much he's improved Arsenal, it's almost like RvP is still playing, his link up play is nearly as good as RvP's, but he has much more of a presence and is such a nuisance to the CB's. Arsenal were desperate for a player exactly like him. Bargain of the summer

I'm really annoyed now. I wanted to watch the game, always like watching Arsenal play, internet died for about 10 minutes, I fall asleep, wake up and it's 5-1! :(

I started to write a response, but it ended up a rant. Including the FA, Sam Allerdyce, and certain tabloids. So I decided to can it. But I do agree with your opinion regarding Chamakh, I mean, with V.Persie injured, we would have suffered with either Arshavin or Bela playing at the top, and as we know that doesn't really word. And Chmakh even gives a decent chance in the air, (Bendtner being hit and miss)

I'm scared of Real Madrid. The fire power they have, with a manger that has an uncanny ability to induce a seige mentallity out of anything... I hate to love Mourinho, and I also love to hate him.

Yup hes definitely had a decent season so far...to be fair im not expecting any world class performances from him as he needs this season to settle into the EPL...which ill add hes done pretty well, got a few important goals for us.

Hopefully he will continue to get better and if Wenger decides to play him and RVP together...they are going to create a ****storm for defences up and down the country...they could very well be an immense pairing or a dire one...hopefully immense:p

But i just cant get over how damn good Wilshere is...if he keeps improving at the rate he is now, i dont think we will miss Fabregas all that much when he goes...we will miss him but im beginning to think that Wilshere will be a competant stand in for him.

Am hoping Ramsey comes back soon as hes another immense kid with plenty of talent...the leg break he suffered last season hopefully wont affect his ability to play....Wenger said hes back in training so maybe we will see him playing pretty soon.

Wilshere is like an experimrnt that has grown to quick for the lab to handle. My new nickname for him is JC Denton, anyone that understands that reference will immediately re-install Dues Ex

Why do people keep talking rubbish about if Fabregas goes, Wilshire can step up. Be honest, Arsenal with Fabregas haven't won anything in 5 years, Diaby/Song/Denilson/Theo just aren't even close to the quality required.

Keeping Fabregas and having Wilshire along side him is a very exciting idea, Wilshire replacing Fabregas, better than a kick in the groin but when Fab goes, Diaby slots back into midfield, thought that way around, losing Fabregas is NOT going to go unmissed.

Wilshire and Fabregas, no Diaby, a replacement for Song and we have a real chance at the title again. Fabregas gone, Diaby in the team, same old Arsenal.

WIlshire is brilliant though, trouble was, he looked brilliant last year in preseason, protecting him for no apparent reason was rather daft. If he can handle 6 months at Bolton he could have played for us last year aswell. I'm rather worried that with everyone fit Wenger will continue to "protect" Wilshire and we'll play worse with Diaby/Song instead of him.

He's going to be a massive miss while he sits out his ban, Song is going to be slapped around by De Jong with ease, Diaby's going to be no match for Yaya, Milner, even Vieira if he plays. Toure and Kompany have been part of a very strong defence and Djourou, vs Tevez..........

ANy team can have a great day or a bad day, but odds on City to win, maybe comftably.

We were superb tonight, but yet again Song for some reason played the offensive role for the vast majority, has lost all discipline, pops up on the right wing , upfront, all over and defensively still persistantly fouled all evening. He got the goal but tried a Joe Cole type trick and should have been punished with an embarassing miss, likewise his assist was a heavily deflected poor cross turned good. He's cost us in every big game for 2 years now, lets see if it continues.

Shaktar's keeper was dire last night. He gifted us three of the goals, and really, if Fabiano was smart enough not to headlock Djourou to the floor immediately after being warned by the ref, there could almost have been a contest.

Not that I'm complaining mind.

Andy Gray has a flapping vagina of a mouth. It regularly queefs. I can't blame him though as I think he may have a mental retardation.
My favourite last night was "Every time Song gets forward, Wilshere or Fabregas just slot into the midfield anchor role in his place."

What, the same Fabregas that was playing in the front three last night? He came all the way back and destroyed our formation, just to cover Song's wandering advances?

Song is terrible positionally but I don't think he's a terrible player in general. Hes got good ball retention for the most part though he does give away stupid and unneeded free kicks. He's come along loads since he first arrived but I still think he's fairly short of the mark in terms of what quality of defensive midfielder the club should be employing. He'd be a half decent backup though.

Song is awesome at killing opposition's moves, if he stayed around the centre circle he'd be one of the team's most important players (like last year, he was brilliant)

Liverpool squad: Reina, Jones, Hansen, Konchesky, Aurelio, Kyrgiakos, Skrtel, Wilson, Carragher, Kelly, Spearing, Poulsen, Shelvey, Maxi, Babel, Jovanovic, Pacheco, Eccleston, Cole, Ngog.

Heh, and a chunk of them are only in there to fill up numbers.

Pacheco, Eccleston and Wilson wont play, they played 90 mins for the reserves late last night.
Spearing is just recovered from a knock, hasn't even trained yet.
So our effective squad is:
Reina, Jones, Hansen, Konchesky, Aurelio, Kyrgiakos, Skrtel, Carragher, Kelly, Poulsen, Shelvey, Maxi, Babel, Jovanovic, Cole, Ngog.

...............Reina
Kelly...Carra.......Skrtel...Aurelio
Maxi..Poulsen...Shelvey...Babel
.............Cole
...................Ngog

Subs: Jones, Konchesky, Kyrgiakos, Jovanovic, Spearing, <2 people who wont play>
Likely.

We. Are. Going. To. Get. Battered.

To be fair you're playing a very average opposition in the name of a high-mid-table Italian side, if you get battered I'll be amazed.

Although having said that, the starting XI you've produced would struggle to beat a league 2 side.

Napoli are leading scorers in the Italian league though, at the moment. Hamsik is on fire. And we cant attack or defend to save our life.

-edit-
Rumoured team:
Reina
Carragher, Skrtel, Kyrgiakos, Konchesky
Poulsen, Spearing
Babel, Cole, Jovanovic
Ngog

hmmmmm.
