UEFA Champions League/Europa League 24/25/26 February *** Spoilers ***

Easily up there with the worst commentators, bearable and somewhat one of the few interesting pundits but his commentary is souness tier of ****

He's not in the same league as Quinn or Savage in terms of sheer awfulness. At least he knows a bit about football, he's a bit depressing / tries overly hard to talk 'technically' about football but there is knowledge there unlike Savage who I'm pretty sure knows less than the average fan. It's mind-numbing to listen to Savage.

Ozil, lolling at the performance, usual weak arsed rubbish, tackle needs doing, he backs away, there was a throughball into the box for him, a defender burst into a sprint to intercept it but Ozil actually slowed down rather than try and make it. Those are times where a burst of effort and he might beat the player to the ball or he might get a foot in and get a deflection off the other guy kicking the ball. He just backed away and didn't want to bother. Lazy git, 42mil and we've got a guy who bottles almost everything and it's why I'd never pay that much. It could be a champs league final, final seconds and he'd still back out of that and give up even a 0.005% chance to score where Sanchez wouldn't(unless he was diving to try and win the game that way... still at least showing some effort :p ).

It's why I can't stand him, with time and space against worse teams he can look good but in these games he looks dire time and time again.

Welbeck was also laughably awful. Coquelin, not entirely sure he deserved the yellow, it wasn't a great tackle but it wasn't intentional at all. Aside from that really our only player in midfield or offence that didn't do much wrong. Cazorla does lots of busy work within 15-20 yards each side of the half way line, but not much else. Lots of running in a space they didn't really care to close down in and no clinical play in the final third. He wasn't poor, he just wasn't doing what was needed in the area it needed doing. He was fighting somewhere Monaco didn't care about.

I'd be annoyed if someone did that in my 5 a side team. That is absolutely ****ing hilariously bad. Wow. How many German caps?

Yet has more goals this season than your entire forward line?

He isn't pacey, he isn't going to get in behind but he holds the ball up really well, works his arse off and always finds himself in good positions.

That is quite incredible, I don't remember typing our forwards have been good or playing.
