UEFA Champions League/Europa League 3/4/5 May *** Spoilers ***

Why doesn't this team turn up every week?

The futures bright, the futures Klopp.

Same should be said for the fans, let's hope we aren't just going back to game raisers and building something better

Awesome to get to the final, haven't watched sevilla once but apparently we'll get bummed. Hopefully that goes the same way as Dortmund

The whole team were good but cannot believe how good Firmino was, shows how poor they played last week because this Villarreal team really aren't that good.

Wow, just wow, exceptional performance. Entire team were immense, cant really criticise anyone.

Thought were were slightly lucky, the Moreno push was a penalty imo and red card was harsh.

Worrying how long he takes to get back up to full speed after an injury, he's virtually been a passenger for the last few games, but he's absolutely immense when in full flight.

Watching the first leg you could tell we were the superior side but the lack of an away goal worried me. We're more than capable of gifting even the *****est teams a goal and equally more than capable of wasting chance after chance but we thoroughly deserved to go through.

Emre Can's always looked like he is going to be a top class player and since Klopp took over he's been getting better and better but today was his best performance for us. He was effectlively playing on his own in midfield, with Milner having licence to go pretty much anywhere, and he absolutely bossed the match from start to finish.

I'm not sure it's a fitness thing. He was like that at the start of the season for us even before he got that back injury. He's just a maverick, he'll have days where he doesn't even look like a footballer but then there will be days where he's unplayable. The real good thing with him is that even when he looks like a pub player, he still pops up with moments in games and contributes with goals and assists.

He was fantastic, gotta be man of the match for me although both Milner (corners let him down though) and Coutinho were very good, honourable mention for Lovren as well as he's shown recently what made Liverpool bring him in.

I'm not sure Coutinho was particularly good to be honest. I thought he was pretty wasteful and made the wrong decision far too often.

Lovren & Milner were both very good but Can was the man.

Supposedly only around 10,000 tickets for each club for the final. Once sponsors, club execs and players get their entitlement, I doubt there will be much more than 7,000 tickets for supporters. You've got to love UEFA.

I've got absolutely no idea how a player can look so fundamentally broken as Lovren does on the left side of defence yet put in performances like that week in week out playing on the right. It's actually baffling how completely different his level of performance is considering there's a only a few yards difference.

So if Liverpool win the final, which they should do, does that mean Utd still won't get CL if they pip City to 4th?

I thought they reverted back to it being an extra, and we just get less Europa spots, so it would be 5:2 instead of 4:3.

His preference is (or at least was) to play on the left.

Tbh, I think it's just coincidental that his poor games/spells have been when he was on the left. He really struggled mentally when he joined us and I think it was a massive shock to his system when everybody got on his back - he played almost entirely on the left last season. This season, even under Rodgers at the start of the season, he's seemed far more comfortable in himself whether on the right or the left.

And before you say it, I don't think he done too much wrong on Sunday. Any pair of CB's were going to struggle with no midfield in front of them.

There will be 5 CL spots, yea. Utd would have only missed out had City won the CL as well as Liverpool winning the EL then it would have been the top 3 + Liverpool & City.

Firmino?

I'll have to take your word for it. I must have only ever seen him on bad days, because I've only ever thought him an absolute passenger. I haven't gone out of my way to see him (and was driving tonight so didn't see the game).
