UEFA Champions League/Europa League 30th April - 2nd May *** Spoilers ***

This is not the Liverpool team that has battered teams all season.

.
highly debatable they have been battering teams all season.....a lot of the high scoring games , Liverpool have also conceded a few in as well (not to mention quite a few no score games as well)

At the beginning of the season especially Liverpool were electric for game after game.....but that hasn't been happening for quite a few months

It's a combination of things tonight missed chances, Messi just being Messi.

I get why klopp choose Gomez but it just shows tonight's game was wrong to rest trent, as I said earlier should have been previous game not tonight.

Even if we got three goals at anfield they will get one themselves.

Dijk this game though has been poor he could have done much better on two of the goals which is rare for him but every great player has a bad game

Doesn't surprise us anymore but klopp changes came too late again

Liverpool's USP is the pace and energy of their play allowing them to overload. None of that was there tonight; they were constrained and tentative. They attacked with limited commitment and still lost .

Lmao Messi strikes again lol. Such a complete player.

If any team had a chance to beat Barca in the CL, I would have thought Liverpool would be that team.

But sadly out Messi’d just like Utd in the last round.

Won’t say the tie is over as they still have the 2nd leg at Anfield but it’s a tall mountain to climb.

Shame. Few moments of brilliance from Barca and a few lapses in concentration. Not much really in it. Liverpool set up too defensively, they should have gone with their normal line up with Firmino & Arnold playing

Nah, it’s over mate.

I wouldn't say it's over yet, Barca aren't as good away from home and Liverpool could pile the pressure on.

Big ask though.

If Mane didn't miss that goal who knows what might of happened? Liverpool were hardly poor it was just Messi went iddqd in the second half.
It's not the missed chances that is the problem. It was the nature of the performance. Liverpool's natural game is perfect to shred Barcelona but they didn't play their natural game.

I would say the tie is over. I dont think we can keep a clean sheet against Barca.

Infact, if it was me, I would rest the first team in the 2nd leg. If somehow Leicester can nick a point off City then I would want the full first team 100% rested and fit for Wolves because that is not an easy match at all.
