UEFA Champions League/Europa League 5/6/7/March *** Spoilers ***

Whatever people thought of the decision at the end PSG were fielding a very strong team of players of which 5 were rested from the weekend and were at home. Our team was threadbare to say the best. Solskjaer as a manager made the correct decision of changing the formation with Bailly as everything for PSG was coming down that left and if unchanged another goal was inevitable. Tuchel had no counter for this and for all the ball PSG had they couldn't do anything with it really.

My stand out player would have to be Luke Shaw. His pace and tracking back was exceptional. Easily one of the best left backs in Europe at the moment. Both Fred and Mctominay were fantastic as well as it was a big ask for them. If anything Mctominay was bullying the PSG players in the middle and at the age of 22 there is still a lot more to come.

5 home grown players played last night in a champions league knockout round. Not many teams can say that and MUFC fans should be proud of that fact.

Here's to hoping both City and Liverpool can get good results tonight and we have 4 English teams in the last 8.
Liverpool and City don't play tonight?

Arsenal do in the Europa league lol

Eh? Didn't he go from 3-5-2 (5-3-2 at times) to 4-4-2? Could have sworn we had two banks of four with Rashford and Lukaku up front together.

it was more of 3-5-2 without possession to 4-4-2 with possession. But the team looked a lot more solid with Dalot on at 4-4-2. It went to 5-4-1 in the last 10 mins.

A lot of the press have been suggesting that Bailly was playing right full back when he went off, although I have to admit I thought it was more a 3 at the back with two wing backs in Shaw /Young (young was typically nowhere helping Bailly out either way)

Utd were hanging on for quite a while after their goal before Bailly went off , but after that we were pretty solid (certainly a lot more solid than earlier in the season anyway) - The sooner we don't have to rely on Young at right back/ right wb the better:)

Did laugh at Tuchel's suggestion that Utd didn't want to win the game.....given that we were leading on the night for over an hour after Lukaku's 2nd....even if its a bad translation and he meant the tie rather than the game with one goal being the difference that still smacks of bad sportsmanship to me

There was an hilarously bitter French journo being interviewed on 5 live right after the match too. He was almost spitting out his words he was so angry.

Preface this with I dislike Tuchel

Manu scored 3 goals from essentially 3 non chances, their actual good one was wasted.

Tuchel also wasn’t overly arsed about the penalty decision and called it 50/50. There was no bad sportsmanship from him, granted your takes are always mind blowing

If Rashford wasn't completely **** apart from taking the winning penalty we wouldn't have had needed it. He was greedy and made awful decisions a few times that would have given another player a simple finish if he played the right ball.

At the end of the day PSG strolled around the pitch like they weren't in any danger and got punished. They were missing a few of their players while we were missing half the first XI. They have an amazing squad and every chance to prepare perfectly for the CL each season and still they **** it up.

We were missing Lingard, Martial, Pogba, Matic, Herrera and they were missing Neymar. This should have been a procession and they turned it into a disaster. Hard to feel anything for them with the utter pricks they have in their team though.

I saw a quote from him saying it couldn't be a penalty because it wasn't on target. Which doesn't sound like he thought it was 50/50, and also shows a staggering lack of knowledge of the rules of the game for a manager.

The holy trio celebrating :)

Tuchel: "I'm a big supporter of VAR, and I am still a big supporter of VAR... with hand, it's a super-difficult thing, because there are too many points in do we punish it or not punish, distance, natural position... so many things to discuss. I think a 50/50 decision

I’m sure he aired frustrated comments but nothing unsportsmanlike, also you’d need to be a clown to think there wasn’t some fortune in the entire thing.

Absolutely excellent that they were undone by something dubious though
