UEFA Champions League/Europa League 5/6/7 November *** Spoilers ***

I don't understand what i'm watching anymore. It's as bad as an England match. We must be the laziest and worst coached team in Europe. No one ever moves! Players stand miles apart just begging for an option. When they manage to get into the final third it seems the Plan A is to let Valencia spend a minute re-positioning his body as he awkwardly shields the ball so that he can make a 5 yard pass backward. I was pleased before that Young seemed to have been dropped but he's back and so it seems is Valencia.
Again, I don't understand what i'm watching. These players are terrible every single time. Yet Nani has a bad match and hes banished. The same with Giggs. Terrible.Every.Single.Match.
And why has DDG adopted Rios "hoof it as hard as you can" policy for distribution? And how can a professional player, on a yelllow, continue to foul over and over and over again? What i'm watching!
Zaha! Someone needs to explain to DM that he can't do any worst than these guys.
Until we make new signings, DM needs to have the guts to drop his 2 strikers policy.

/head explodes

Just goes to show how good of a job Fergie done. He got out at the perfect time and left on a high knowing full well David Moyes would never cut it and secondly knowing the squad is no where near good enough to mount any challenge at all in Europe.

With the Glazers wasting £50-60 million a year on interest payments instead of players i dont see United winning the league or CL any time soon. I didn't think u guys would do a Liverpool but that looks more likely now then winning the league in the next 5 years.

If i was in charge of United i would send Moyes packing at the end of the season. It may be harsh on the guy but look at what Southampton did they sacked Atkins who didn't deserve to be sacked and brought in somebody who is better at the job than him. I didn't agree with it at the time but the owner made the right call and i think United should do the same with Moyes before it's to late.

I despair when I read posts like these. They are at best juvenile in their outlook or come from some of the united fans who think it is their god given right to continually dominate English football unchallenged.

We must be the laziest and worst coached team in Europe. No one ever moves!
Excuse the hyperbole? Where is the evidence that any of this is true?

When they manage to get into the final third it seems the Plan A is to let Valencia spend a minute re-positioning his body as he awkwardly shields the ball so that he can make a 5 yard pass backward.
I think a lot of us feel Valencia regressed from the impact that eh had in his first season. He plays a different role in the team largely dictated by the previous manager's desire to make United difficult to beat in Europe. Valencia now offer a huge degree of defensive cover and some bulk in midfield.

These players are terrible every single time. Yet Nani has a bad match and hes banished. The same with Giggs. Terrible.Every.Single.Match.
Nani had a terrible game in his last outing. He was incredibly wasteful put pressure on the defence. Aside from one cross which made a goal it was an abject performance from a player who is experienced and had been rewarded with a contract extension. He will not play away from home in Europe for the reasons stated above re Valencia

Zaha! Someone needs to explain to DM that he can't do any worst than these guys.

DM obviously feels that Zaha is not ready for 1st team football yet. He didn't sign him so shouldn't feel compelled to play him. As a very experienced manager you have to respect that judgement he is making. Contrast it with his willingness to play Januzaj - a player who is physically slighter and less experienced than Zaha and you have a good illustration of the context of the decision. The lad can't be ready yet and Moyes will be protecting him.

Just goes to show how good of a job Fergie done. He got out at the perfect time and left on a high knowing full well David Moyes would never cut it and secondly knowing the squad is no where near good enough to mount any challenge at all in Europe.

Fergie "done" an amazing job with the club. He built 4/5 championship winning teams. Developed young players, committed to the youth system and persisted with the best available British born players. He extracted the maximum out of players and developed a sustainable club. He passed the baton to Moyes knowing he would be true to the traditions that made the club successful but would have the energy and desire to keep the club moving forward. Fergie signed the likes of Zaha, Jones, Smalling, De gea knowing he would not see the best of them but that he would be leaving the team with a good nucleus of young players for a future manager to build a team around. United have flattered a bit in Europe as have all the English sides. Our game has definitely regressed in the last 3/4 years despite all the money in the premiership.

If i was in charge of United i would send Moyes packing at the end of the season. It may be harsh on the guy but look at what Southampton did they sacked Atkins who didn't deserve to be sacked and brought in somebody who is better at the job than him. Its a good job you are not in charge. Comparing Adkins to Moyes? Who else would you get in that would do a better job than David Moyes? there was always going to be a transition period. If United had won against West Brom this season they would be 2nd equal on 20 points having played 3 of the top four. Judge his progress at the end of a season rather than turn United into some Oligarch's folly to play with.

Just to clarify I wasn't actually talking about anyone on this forum, more the daily fail reading chumps and people who post on redcafe etc

So no ones thinking that fellaini looks like our worst 28-30 mill signing yet? At least we got 50% cash back on veron and protected our cash. Fellaini seems to have no control of the football or his own body.

If we really wanted a tall non footballer im sure we could have achieved similar for about a quarter of the cash.

It seemed/seems like Moyes is still thinking Everton size when he should be thinking Man Utd. I like Fellaini but not enough to pay that much for him.

I take it the Man U game's finished then? Only just woken up after falling asleep in the first half.....

Tough game tonight, actually dreading it as i really want us to come away with a result tonight against Dortmund. No doubt they will do exactly the same that they did with us in the first game ie press us and not give us any time on the ball.

Fingers and legs crossed we come away with a result, hope our defence stays tight and dont allow Dortmund too much space. And im hoping Giroud has his scoring radar tuned.

COYGS!!!!

Moyes is clearly thinking pass it back to the keeper. Hit it long, hope fellaini gets a head on it or we get a lucky break. Cut out having to pads the ball through midfield, utilise two overpowered strikers and prey upon the oppositions lack of drilling/quality. Hit enough of those balls and the percentages say you will get a chance or two without ever having to resort to playing football.

It's so beautiful it brings a tear to my eye.

looks like we got a double whopper with cheese here

united fans are rapidly overtaking liverpool fans as the biggest whoppers in english football.

you're top of your champions league group and only 3 points off second, all this in a year which was ALWAYS going to be transitional. The fans are on Moyes back despite Ferguson telling them to support the new manager and the way they talk about Fellaini is nothing short of a disgrace. All i see is clueless fans (both united and other teams) talking about garbage he is, he was a BEAST at Everton, destroyed United twice as well as huge performances against the likes of City and Chelsea. He's a very good player who just needs time to settle, he took a season and a half to settle at Everton then tore **** up. Fans just have no patience whatsoever, especially glory hunting plastics who have never had their loyalty to their club tested due to years of dominance.

Honestly this season has really shown United fans for what everyone already knew they were, awful clueless whoppers without the first clue about the sport they follow.

Awful fans

You should have been here when Everton fans were saying exactly the same thing over the summer

Apart from the 1 or 2 decent performances every season, MF had a habit at Everton for going completely invisible in games (according to multiple Everton fans) so Im not sure why you just attack the Utd ones........

did you miss the bit where i said i'd lost count of the amount of times he's done that ?

he has the best chest control i've ever seen and he's a very tidy player when on form.

as for the other everton fans saying he goes missing etc, with the exception of the elite (messi and co) what player doesn't ? lots of my mates who are everton fans say he's overrated. were they saying that when he was an everton fan ? hah, what do you think...

give the guy time, he's dominated yaya toure 3 or 4 times over the past few seasons and toures meant to be the best central midfielder in the league.

he's a beast and he will come good.

there you go, here is him terrorising united

there are similar videos of him destroying city and chelsea as well if you can be bothered to search. I've watched him play In the flesh over 100 times, i think I'm in a better position better judge his talents than telly clapping motd viewers.

I don't think anyone has said he doesn't have good games. He's just not consistently a good player and shouldn't be first choice in any team with aspirations of winning the league.

not consistently a good player ? since when ? for every bad game he had at everton he had about 8 good ones.

where has this bizarre myth that he wasn't consistently good at everton come from ? i'll tell you, its come from everton fans who are now trying to slate him or laugh at united now he's left... i should know, I'm mates with the exact people who do this.

he was boss, not worth 27.5 million granted but easily worth £20m given his age.
