UEFA Champions League/Europa League 7/8/9 March *** Spoilers ***

I've just looked back the UEFA director didn't show a replay and it looked like the defender clipped Di Maria's left leg. Would've been red card and penalty.

Yeah, I thought it looked odd, but the thing that gets me is Di Maria had the keeper ready for him and he had a man over. A pass to his right and it's a 98% chance of a goal, him shooting is still a great chance but certainly not as good a chance. But regardless, if he was clipped it's a penalty.

Referee basically fixed the game for me, Suarez should be off, repeated diving, one yellow for one of them, 3-4 ignored and he wins a penalty with a dive. Kos actually barged Lewandowski, but that was the lightest arm, zero force, no leg contact and he threw himself to the ground. Suarez should have been off by like the 60th minute for diving.

Well they don't call them UEFAlona for nothing, it seems to me the officials did everything in their power to assist Barcelona although PSG didn't do themselves any favours playing like Arsenal.

still wouldnt put it past Barca to get 4-0 in the return leg in normal time (if not more)

Both sides had a "one-off" night, it will return to normal for 2nd leg

Ok so they didn't ever have 4-0 but Barca still went through, never saw any other result at the Nou

Barca were not lucky at all - they had some decent chances in the 1st half that on any other night one of MSN would normally score

Could easily have been 4 up at half time and PSG couldn't have complained

Really, and Suarez couldn't have complained if he'd been sent off for multiple dives, Mascherano couldn't have complained if he was sent off and PSG get a penalty for fouling Di Maria(I've gone back to look at it, it's unclear if the foul effected the shot, so maybe not a penalty, but it was diving in from behind with the express intention of preventing a goal scoring chance with zero attempt to get the ball. He also put his studs through the hell of Di Maria, that is a straight red regardless.

Also Cavani could have scored a couple more, there were other chances as well. They were absolutely lucky, no team has all their chances go in(in the massive massive majority of games), it's not abnormal for Messi/Suarez and Neymar to miss more chances than they score, that is how both football go and those three's career's have gone. There was nothing unlucky about their finishing, in fact the weird deflected own goal, the undeserved penalty for a player who should have been off the pitch half an hour before he dived to win it, saying they weren't lucky is embarrassing.
