UEFA Champions League/Europa League 8/9/10 March *** Spoilers ***

I wouldn't be surprised when you take into consideration the talent they produce.

There is no denying Wilshere is a great player but being English automatically thrusts him into the limelight and hypes him up (not saying it isn't deserved) but you know how things are with English players.

Also got to think is Wilshere Xavi/Inesta replacement material? He could be but at the moment he won't which is probably why you don't see these players Pep talks about because look at the players they would be replacing :o

I did ask before I'll ask again who do people see winning CL? It all seems very even tbh no one team are playing brilliantly

UTD having a bad run and a bit weak, Arsenal prone to cup disasters, Spurs lack the experience, Inter don't seem as strong as last season, Real Madrid aren't a complete unit yet, Bayern Munich are in some serious trouble (LvG looks to be leaving end of season).

Seems very wide open :o

Wilshere is as good at 18/19 than Xavi/Iniesta were in their early 20's, he definitely has a year or two on them. I don't really think he's been overhyped, he's the only English player in the last decade who actually knows how to play football, he deserves the hype!

Cool little interview with Grimandi about Nasri for any Arsenal fans http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/a/arsenal/9411158.stm

If they have players as good as Wilshere in their reserves, its strange that they only ever seem to be able to push Busquets forward (and put Masch in his former position) when they lose one of Xavi/Iniesta/Messi, isn't it?

EDIT: lol jakeke

We've literally played hoof it to Heskey (or if we're lucky Crouch - never though I'd say that) for the last 5 years, it's been absolutely dreadful

How many Arsenal fans are bricking it? Personally I think we will go through, I don't know what it is, just an inkling. I am almost 100% certain that they will score against us, but I think we'll score first, and with them pushing up the pitch to force a goal, especially with their makeshift defence I think they'll be vulnerable. I heard Biscuits and Abidal are the CB's tonight?

Not too scared, at the very least we'll be treated to probably the game of the season. Also, if we go out, it could work out as a boost for the league. It's not all doom and gloom.

Most annoying thing today is that I can't watch it live (2:45pm) :(. So I am recording it, banning all internet/emails etc and telling the wife not to look on FB etc (in case of friends in England updates). Then we'll watch when we get home lol

well, it could get messi for arsenal tonight but then again, they may have enough fabregas in the tank to be on song!

Arsenal to go through on penalties 40/1.. that's got to be worth a quid of anyone's money surely. Ok it's got to be 2-1 to Barcelona but that's hardly impossible. :)

Apart from that decent period before the World Cup where we played alright, you mean? I don't remember either beating of Croatia being particularly hoofball.

Wilshere's a good footballer, but to try and pretend he's the only Englishman who can pass in forever is more than a little silly.

I can't see Arsenal scoring I'm afraid. Would be great if they do go through though.

I can see Arsenal scoring, I just can't see Barca not scoring more than twice. Arsenal's only chance of going through is to try and take the game to Barca and score at least 2.
