UEFA Champions League/Europa League ** Spoilers ** [15/16/17 September 2015]

The ref was shocking tonight, just as he was when he sent Rafael off against Bayern in 2010.

Moreno shouldn't have been on the pitch, and the injury to Luke Shaw took all the wind out of our sails, upto that point we looked ok.

Very bad night.

Poor in defence.
Toothless and hopeless in attack.
Ref wasn't great though can't blame that.
Lots of poor performances from supposedly experienced/good players.
Shaw out for ages with a broken leg.

Great.

Guessing nemtizz meant that just saying the pl is enough. Bit like americans all calling it the BPL which is even better

Great night for football

Well that was utter rubbish to watch. Wonder what lvg will say about it. Is he really the right manager for utd?

Yeah the ref was shocking, they should have been a man down but that doesn't excuse how **** poor we were again. 62% possession. SIXTY TWO. How do we do nothing with it??

I feel for Memphis having to put up with this **** team. Such an awesome player. Certainly 1 of my favourite players around at the moment.

That was great to watch as a neutral :p LvG is useless though why are people expecting amazing football from him? didn't you see how Holland played in the world cup? drab boring football.

He will come good I'm sure - but he has been pretty invisible in the EPL this season so far - so it isn't as clear cut as you suggest

With Shaw off, it was like Utd were playing with 10 men, he was one the best attacking players Utd have for the whole season

He's very much like Nani at the moment. Occasionally does something amazing but a lot of his decision making is pretty poor. Like that free kick at the end where he had it played short to him and he just thumped it into the first player. He's young though, he needs experience.

City bossed the game and shouldn't have lost - hardly in decline

I'd hardly say City bossed that game. Sure they had possession but no one did anything with it. They got into the Juve half and started walking about. Sure Juve sat deep but they are out of form domestically compared to City.

City very much did not boss that game.

Will be good when the league goes to 3 CL places

If anything that's just going to make the situation worse - the bigger clubs will be even less likely to bring young players through and they will outspend everyone else by another big margin to be in those 3 spots

Do we really want the EPL to get to La Liga situation - admittedly La Liga is slowly getting better now - where its just two (or three) huge clubs at the top and everyone else falls by the wayside in comparison?
