Give me Phil Jones, Smalling or any of our dodgy back four over Johnson and Skrtel any day of the week
 
What has suprised me in this game is how much space Marcello gets to bomb forward. Hes playing like a supporting forward for part of the game
 
Another reason I'm happy about this is the Sky pundits (Redknapp/Carra/Souness) were all pretty much dismissing Real Madrid and saying Liverpool had a great chance, which is ludicrous.

Sure, stranger things have happened but actually saying that you "fancy Liverpool to get something" and heavily implying they'll win is stupid.
 
Can't believe Liverpool haven't stuck a man in the middle to try to close down one of either Kroos or Modric. Preferably Kroos as he's just running the show right now.
 
I think most supporters thought we would get smashed but it's gutting to see your team play the way you thought they would knowing they'd never stand a chance playing like that :(
 
Sometimes Cup competitions can throw up unpredictable results.
But that is not happening today.

Don't forget that the commentators/TV pundits need to make the show exciting.
They can't come out and say, "Liverpool have no chance. We may as well go home now and everybody should switch off their TVs".
