Hard to say with Wenger, as you say you get the gut feeling that as soon as one of his preferred starters is back you can see Campbell disappearing again as has happened so so many times to other players.
Hell same deal with Coquelin, he got those same very short appearances Campbell got in recent seasons before being ignored with Wenger judging both on out of form, non match fit, not used to playing with the squad performances. For both players Wenger only gave them a chance when everyone else was injured, neither would have got a look in without injuries.
Campbell's pace for Sanchez was nice but it was also a really poor defence and team in general. But his movement is good, he's looking to do the right things. You get the feeling that with increasing sharpness and confidence from more games he will improve further. Ox, regardless of the number of chances he gets he runs a lot, gets on the ball a lot and does so so little with it.
With Coquelin when Wenger was finally forced to see him as a good player there was only a pretty poor Arteta and Flamini to come back from injury... well and Wilshere but hasn't really been back from injury long. It's a different matter with Ox/Walcott, so Campbell might have to be astonishing in the next few weeks to keep his place.
