UEFA Champions League Final Liverpool v Real Madrid ** spoilers ** [Saturday 28th May 2022]

Other than that mad moment at the end we've played well and just been missing a goal. Only slight negative has been Diaz, who has been running down blind alleys all half.

No you haven't. It has to been a deliberate action, not a deflection.
Is that an actual rule? I've never seen anything like that mentioned before. I thought the offside rule only applies on a forward pass from an attacking player. I've seen plenty of goals scored from passes behind by the defensive player and none of them were intentional.

It deflected twice which is the only contentious part of the decision, I’ll say I don’t know what is the correct decision in that scenario.

Last intentional play was by a Madrid player at which point it is offside

Yes, it is the rule. It's not new either. The key thing to what you've said is passes behind by the defensive player - there wasn't a pass behind by a Liverpool player.

Could you not argue it is a deliberate action by Fabinho, he's thrown himself to the ground to get the ball... if he was stood up it wouldn't have hit him.

I think they made a new offside rule during the VAR check.
Yea thats it. You've had it explained to you several times but sure.

Rios an idiot.

Youre honestly telling me that was his intention? To knee the ball?

Never seen it before and I've watched a lot of footy. Doesn't make any sense to me, Real never played a forward ball in that scramble.
