So was Pepe injured or just not used, Varane missed most of the season injured so Pepe has to be pretty gutted to not play as he's been pretty damn good. But Varane is something really special, at his age to be this good is insane. Was brilliant last year as well, been unlucky with injuries this year. Not sure Chelsea are going to get him now when the CL winners pick him to start the biggest game of the year

You're kidding, right? I agree that there shouldn't have been that much time added, but that behaviour is flat out unacceptable.

Have to agree with that. Not often do we sing their praises but he was outstanding I thought. Could have quite easily ruined it with a couple of challenges that might have been debatable red cards but kept his calm and give them the benefit of the doubt.

So did that railing they were all leaning against almost collapse as they lifted the cup? That could have ended up very very badly.

He wasn't card happy, he wasn't over reacting, he barely registered as an entity in the game, which speaks volumes for me. His no nonsense when the player was acting on the floor was brilliant as well, just told them to get him off. I wish every ref was like that.

Simeone being Simeone lol, i reckon it had to do with the extra 5 mins added onto normal time aka Fergie time. Tbh he couldnt really complain as his players were rolling around on the floor wasting time so if anyone is to blame, its his players.
Anyhow good game that, shame to see Atletico lose though and losing 4-1 was a bit harsh on them but that equalising goal took it out of them really. From then on they werent really in it and was only a matter of time before Real took control and they did by smashing 4 goals past them.
Thought starting Costa was pretty dumb, didnt last more than 10mins and a wasted sub there.
Anyways congrats to Real on achieving the fabled la decima, that in itself is a major achievement.
