UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL ... Real Madrid v Atlético ... *** Spoilers ***

I think the scoreline was deserved personally. Atletico were amazing for 70 minutes but after that Real had enough possesion for 10 goals, in fact I think Atletico were lucky to stay ahead all the way to 92 minutes.

In extra time 4-1 was deserved, Atletico were a defeated team and it showed.
Pep Guardiola loves your reasoning :D:D

Ahahaha. Quality

Hate Ronaldo so much, all about me and nothing else. I could understand if he scored the winning goal but it was a meaningless goal and it was a penalty as well.

The champions league isn't one game, Ronaldo scored his 17th goal, a record, after previously having scored 16 goals, a record, in a season in which he's been brilliant.

He didn't have his best game but people are being overly harsh, he didn't have a lot of bad touches and poor shots, he had very few shots/touches as he was playing as part of a front two with a team that struggled for 70-80minutes to get the ball anywhere near him or Benzema.

But he's been by far and away their most important player thoughout the champions league campaign even if not the best player in the final.
It's ridiculous to criticise him for celebrating. He's had one of the best champions league campaigns of any player ever, and broken scoring records(I believe for total in competition and total in group stages) and was fantastic against last years champions.

Yea but celebrating a 4- 1 penalty with a shirt off flexing session was a bit ott. The game was decided already. It was not very sporting to revel in ones personal glory in the face of others quite like that.

He has been outstanding this season for Real and deserves to celebrate how he wants imo.

Im not saying that he can't celebrate how he wants but he will be judged by others on those celebrations and those people are free to judge how they want knowing the season he's had and the situation in the game. ..

Thought it was a good game. Very even to start both sides playing high intensity and harassing opponents. I think after half time Real turned on the gas and it was attack after attack after attack. Atletico defended superbly but the whole game they didnt have many chances at all. But once again it is RAMOS who saves the day (what a beast of a defender he is now!) at the last minute. The added time is deserved because of the many stoppages. And tbh the goal had been coming for at least 20 minutes as Real were bombarding the Atletico goal. Best players for me. Ramos (beast, making vital interceptions and headers for Real and equalizing for them same as he did against Barca) he was MOM for me, Di Maria (v good and created goal for Bale but he had 20+ crosses...so he shoulda maybe done a wee bit better with delivery) and Marcelo. Bale and Ronaldo were poor by their standards. Bale missed some chances but at least he is in the position to miss them...people dont seem to remember that bit. Better team won in the end but glad Atletico won La Liga :D

Why wasn't Pepe playing? He played excellently against Bayern.

Pretty sure he was injured or was fit but didnt want to risk him getting injured again.

Real definitely looked better soon as Marcelo came on though, think the Real subs is what won the game for Real.

Im just glad the game didnt go to penalties, that would have been a stupid end to what was an entertaining game. But equally going to penalties would have probably been Atletico's best chance of winning as in ET they really had nothing to give.

Was a terrible equaliser in stoppage time to give away after their epic defending for most of the game.

Glad Real won. Won me £10 off a 50p bet but prefer them in general. It's a good job they won otherwise bale would've been ridiculed for missing quite a number of good opportunities; not even putting them on target. Was blatantly obvious as soon as Marcelo picked the ball up for the 3rd goal Atletico had nothing left. Penalty was a bit harsh.

Shame Simeone had to act like a child when Varane kicked a ball to/at/towards/near(??) him.

My opinion on the Diego Costa starting? It was a risk, and while a lot of people saying 'it was a silly decision' Waste of a sub etc. While I do agree in a way, if however it had gone the other way and he'd have managed 60 minutes and 2 goals, it would've been 'a brilliant decision' by Simeone.

Crazy choice to play Costa from the start. Subs are very important in these tight finals and from 8 minutes, Real had that advantage. 1 extra pair of fresh legs.

The thing to bear in mind with Bale is that this is still all new for him - Ronaldo, Ramos and even Di Maria have been in matches of huge magnitude with a massive weight of expectation on them before. Bale has never experienced anything like this in the past and nerves probably got the better of him. It's happened with Ronaldo in the past. Bale will improve for this.

I wasn't a fan of Bale at Spurs - he was an excellent player, but he seemed like such a little ****. He's really grown on me at Madrid. He had a hard start to the season, didn't let his head drop, and over most of the season has looked like he belongs there. I'm happy for him.

Yeah that's what I thought, for 120mins Atletico had kept him quiet but all the media is now going to show is him with his shirt off acting like he won it for them. Incredible player but he does goes to great lengths to milk all of the attention even when it's undeserved.

a little ****? i disagree

not his best game by a long shot but he stood up when it counted. the pressure on the lad must've been immense and his hair looked awful. what an incredible achievment for him. a cl winner in his first season.
