Does anyone think Ireland have any chance of getting out of the group :(.

Irelands last major tournament outing was great times :D

Spain look the likely candidates for finishing top. I think Italy might struggle though, Croatia are decent with the likes of Morric, Srna and Olic. Ireland could be a dark horse and I wouldn't be surprised if they could sneak a second place.

It looks a tough group for Rep of Ireland to qualify from, but I think we might be pleasantly surprised on how they will peform. I for one think they can cause an upset.

Spain beat China 2-0 with goals coming from Silva and Mata. That is worrying. They need Villa in that squad. Torres is still not proving to be back in goal scoring form.

Soldado should be in the squad. He is a goal machine for Valencia. I don't uderstand why some players get left out when they perform well for club.

wait, I am pretty sure eurosport had Mata down as a goal scoring and that Spain won 2-0. Now they are showing only Silva scored and the score was 1-0.

Soldado has been in pretty poor form for Valencia recently by all accounts

Still scored 17 goals in La Liga while Nando has scored 7 goals for Chelsea since Jan 2011.

I guess its down to what these players have done at country level. Soldado has only played 5 games for Spain while Torres has 92!

Not long to go now for the biggest game in the group stages. I can see Spain getting beat on the counter attack. Italy just look so good attacking and Spain without Puyol can be abit shakey at the back.

Will be interesting to see who Spain pick as their ST. I would imagine they would pick Llorente to battle with Chiellini.

Looking forward to this but worried it's going to be another boring 75/25% possession game with the ball making it up to the final 30 yards a handful of times.

Out of interest did De Gea get the nod as third choice keeper in the end or did it go to Valdes?

Just wow tbh, so much talent. Not one English player would get in that squad.
